By Mushroom Go To PostHe wobbled initially but was able to cool off at half time and was able to focus on the big picture. Proper lad he is.While I appreciate the kind words, when I took the responsibility, it was with the notion that Footy SLAENT has a particular "slow".
Some of the remarks were hurtful, I know they didn't come from a bad place and it was just banter.

We might as well, seeing how he's still at the bottom of Allegri's picking order. This was supposed to be the year he pulled ahead of nonno Barzagli and went head to head with Benatia (an easy win in theory, seeing how injury prone the latter is), but it hasn't been the case so far. He's had his fair share of games and performed as admirably as always, but between our four central defenders, it's clearly him that's marked as our "backup CB".
And I'm afraid it might be this season or never* for his shot at Juve's starting XI, because we've got Atalanta's Caldara incoming next season, who's very clearly in a class of his own. If I had to bet on who the next big central defender in world football would be, I'd defo put my money on Caldara.
*as long as Allegri is with us anyway

Really strange that Rugani hasn't made the big break into the full time position. Allegri takes it easy with youth, but always gives them fair chances to lock down a position.
He just must not like what he sees in Rugani. I personally thought he was very poor leading the line at the U21s, but being a leader requires experience.

By LFMartins86 Go To PostIt's almost a shame that LCD Soundsystem came back because their "final" concert was a perfect example on how to end a career.
3 and half hours of concert, they played every single song they made, had many guests like Reggie Watts and many members of Arcade Fire, it was a major party and a celebration of their career.
Easily one of the most expensive Blu-ray's I bought, the package has the concert divided in 2 discs and the excellent documentary Shut Up And Play The Hits : The Very Loud Ending Of LCD Soundsystem.
While I can understand people's frustration, You still got to experience the band at its full height of success giving all in in a performance. Personally , I am gald they made a comeback since LCD Soundsystem is a band that should exist. Their new record is phenomenal and no band should leave while releasing quality music. In a world where shitty Depeche Mode and Gang of Four is still selling out areans, LCD Soundsystem should very well bloody exist.

Rugani is very good, great even. He rarely makes mistakes and can be trusted to take care of the opposition's leading striker, as he's a very capable man-marker. He doesn't have Bonucci's playmaking gene, but then again neither does Benatia, who is however a considerably better positional defender.

I don't know, it's hard to fault Rugani for anything. At the same time ... he's just not that ... imposing, I guess? He deserves a place in our squad, but if he wants to break into our XI and stay there, he'll need to go next level. Remains to be seen if it's something that can be acquired with (just) time.

I always love your analysts. Always so good. Hard to disagree with what you wrote.
You really rate Caldera so highly? I haven't watched too much of Atalanta the past 18 months.
Juve - Inter is going to be an absolute bitch, isn't it.
Can't remember the last time Inter have arrived so well prepared to a Derby d'Italia. Not just in terms of form and tactics, but the overall approach to the match. They've been flying under the radar, no shameful predictions or boasting of any kind, not even from their fans, just radiating confidence. Spalletti's done a terrific job with the human material at his disposal. Inter lack strong club management, so it falls on Luciano to keep everything in order and so far there haven't been any leaks. We're not in a bad shape either, however this will be our third 'big' match in a week, so ...
Their current situation reminds me both of Mourinho's time at Inter and Conte's first season with Juve. Quite the combo. Of course, the competition they face is much fiercer than it was back in 2011, when it was basically only Milan contending the scudetto.

Pocketed Bellotti with extreme ease, while leading Ata's defensive line like a boss. It's almost like someone fused Rugani with Chiellini. He's got everything a modern CB needs. Even a nose for goals. We'll see how he deals with the transition to a big club. He strikes me as one of those "born mature" players, ready to walk into any XI. Proper talent.

I wasn't the biggest Spalletti fan during his run with Roma(not just for his treatment of Totti), but he has Inter playing some of their best football in years. Defensively strong and quick in attack.
It is amazing that I think Inter, Napoli, and Lazio are all off to historic starts to a season.
I feel like this as close to a must win game as we have had in years. In previous seasons, I thought Juve could lose a big match to a rival or two knowing that they would drop points and Juve always have a run in them that is unstoppable. However, this season, an Inter win in this game might just give them the belief to push on. Especially with the bottom half of the table looking dreadful.

High praise. Gotta hope that Atalanta draw one of the big guns in the EL and he can show off more.

Let's try and get through the first 15 minutes without conceding today. Maybe this time we will try and score a goal first.
By Scum Go To PostJuventus 3 - 3 InterIf it's to be a draw, 0-0 is far more likely. If he's smart, that's exactly what Spalletti will come playing for. Not a hard sell either, since defense + quick transitions is what he's got Inter doing anyway. As I see it, whoever scores first bags 3 points.

Took like 30 point hit on FPL team, for the greater good sacrificies had to be made, hope my double down on chelsea was a good decision.
I think it would be fun if sky made Paul Merson's prediction battle it out against some kind of AI, it would be hilarious to watch him get triggered ever week.

By Scum Go To PostMorning, Usho! Were you at the game on Wednesday? Enjoy what you saw?
Man Utd fans, man.
Wednesday was good but it was basically a friendly. I don’t remember Vorm touching the ball.
Today we need to be aggressive from minute one, none of this slow and sideways garbage in our own half. Play high up the pitch and make Stoke defend, in too many home games against minnows we spend way too much time keeping the ball in our own half. That’s what leads to silly shit like the goal West Brom scored. Just get Son up front with Kane and go for the throat, no more of this Sissoko nonsense. It’s too easy to play against us at the moment.
