Don't think it's that close despite what twitter 'in the knows' say. Reddy says he's a target and Bild say we're one of a few teams in for him.
You actually want Alexis at City to start seeding that discontent m8
I don't think he'd improve them that much at this point.

Why do they want Sanchez anyway? To replace Aguero? There squad is already stacked with attacking players.
By ATTICUS H Go To Postkeep stacking the cards over at City and inevitably the house of cards will tumble over
They haven't even won a single CL yet. It's a bit soon to say that City are dominating football. Next season, other teams will work them out the same way teams worked out Leicester.

Alexis would be better up front in city's system than Aguero would be, he always looks a little square peg in round hole. But I agree they don't need him. Would only stifle the development of Sterling and Sane.
The only position they really need in terms of first team right is centre back, and that's only really to replace Kompany/Mangala and for when Stones is out. Long term they'll need a Fernandinho replacement; trust me when I say Frenkie is the one leds.

Kane, the Premier League’s top scorer, may be ruled out of Tuesday’s game after missing training this week.
Tottenham are hopeful that Kane will recover in time to resume training on Saturday, although manager Mauricio Pochettino said the striker is “not feeling good”.

The story also includes references to “some players think it would be better to sell.” He’s so gone.
sell him to psg in jan for 5m just to keep him away from city
Made the Wiji comment largely to be antagonistic - as I went into Star Wars - and see it’s gone down well. Whilst I understand that Pogba is a better player he’s done fuck all for United and they finished 6th in his first season. Food for thought. But yes, on YouTube his Octopus 30 yarders look excellent.
Also Mourinho continues to be a dumb cunt if he thinks Lukaku can’t be rested. He has the highest amount of centre forward resources in the Premier League, if not the world. Lukaku, Martial, Rashford and Zlatan. He’s completely fucking mental.

He’s wrong. Pep wouldn’t win the title with this Utd squad.
He’d win it with a Utd squad built by him though.
I thought Mourinho would get the edge over Pep this season, but boy was I wrong. Both due to underating Pep a bit but also due to far overrating Mourinho. He has started turning sour at United even before we could imagine and it's easy to see where it's going from here. His historical pragmatic football is not so much that anymore, as much as it's a complete inability to coach attacking football.
Not that they have to be an attacking team, but there is often little to not run patterns and way of attack, and nothing to fall back on, was the same with Chelsea quite often. Coupled with his fear of trying to win against any of the top teams (hell even at Chelsea do you remember how many times he started fucking Hazard up front against United... Even when they were doing badly...), even against a team as weak in defense as Liverpool, it makes for a rather embarrassing showing. You can make the argument for how it's the kind of results against Burnley that weakens Uniteds attempts at competing in the league, but it's certainly also the lack of ambition against making up for that against the other strong teams.

By Bungie Go To PostWould Pep win the league with 2015/2016 Leicester?Given how good this City team are part of me wonders what a Leicester side would look like after 18 months of Pep-ball. I think he could get a similar squad to consistently finish in the top four, as crazy as that sounds.
But the league title was a one-off, never again, blink and you’ll miss it moment of sporting batshitery.
By Elchele Go To PostIt's over then. Kicker are never wrongThey're also wrong plenty of times.
But far from just creating rumors with no proper backing like Bild.
Last match of the year, a draw is probably enough to go through the group stage of the League Cup but Jesus puts out the strongest 11 available (except Gelson), even with an important league match on Wednesday away at Benfica.

Not really. Slanted to the left when it comes to attacking potential, our right flank is as crap as it gets. All 4, Martial, Rashford, Lingard and Mkhi prefers to play in the center, and it shows, although thankfully Martial and Rashers are pretty good on the left wing.
There's a reason in our games why Lukaku runs wide to the right most of the time.
Also when it comes to fullbacks... we are having City's problem last season, although Young has been decent in filling in for Valencia and Shaw. Defensivewise Young is still a problem though.
On midfield our trio of Pogba - Matic - Herrera should work, except Herrera is in a really bad form at the moment.
Now considering Pep got 4th last season when he had a fullback and goalkeeper problem (although right now Ederson hasn't really been that challenged on goals, fantastic passer though), I don't think he could win the title with United's squad.

I think Pep would certainly improve a number of players in our team (mostly attacking ones), but definitely not all. He wouldn't immediately be able to fix the positional imbalance we have tho.
Funnily enough our recent shit form has actually been due to conceding very shit goals.

Pep would get a lot more out of this team than Mou has. I mean just look at Sterling, he's been playing better than half of United's squad. I'm sure Pep would get the best out of players like Lukaku, Martial, Lingard, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Rashford etc etc.
I dunno what Pep himself could change, but I'm sure his doctors could get a lot more from the United squad
Are people now forgetting that Mou has improved the team a lot since he came in? When it comes to that, he has done a job as good as Pep.
Pep is great, I've seen how some players, Sane especially, just grew from strength to strength.
Yet he's not a miracle worker, like how some of you make him up to be.

Leicester winning the title is a miracle.
Mourinho at least challenging for the title with all the money used, is not a miracle, it's the smallest of expectations. Miracle maker xd. Improving the team sure, but is that really good enough?

Jesus christ, if Pep was the god of managers he would have won the title last season.
Let me emphasise again, Guardiola is great, but he cant stroll into any team and make them win the title. He has his limits.
I had an epiphany the other day and realised that Ashley Young was an incredible signing. Number of important goals, crosses and contributions he’s made since he signed.

We will see what is going to be better, to keep a team on a high level of competition or to rest a big part of the starters for 2 weeks without matches.
