I don't understand papers hyping up Chelsea losing out on him. Don't think Chelsea have been in for any defenders for a long time and certainly not at anywhere near that price, since having both Rudiger, Luiz, Christensen and Cahill that all range from good to great cb's, and then even having Azpilicueta who plays there often in a 3 man defense. Maybe in the beginning of the season when Christensen had not really played for the club yet, but he has more than proven himself now. Other areas needs strengthening far more.
Not to say I don't think he is a great defender and will do well at Liverpool, certainly better than most of the clowns they have there now. Just don't think it makes a lot of sense for Chelsea to be going for him at all.
