Liverpool fans are doing exactly what Arsenal fans did, overrating him.
Pele echoing my thoughts. Despite my harsh words I'd never describe ox as shit he just never did much of anything.

Jurassic Park is made with so much more craft than JW it's incredible. Directorial decisions make and break those films even if they are conceptually very similar.

Dunkirk is all about the experience. But I feel like it defnitely still holds up if you watch it at home.
I think it’s very effective filmmaking but I have to say it absolutely makes a difference that I’m English. As someone who has multiple family members who fought in the war it gives me eye tears like very few (non Tom-Hanks) films can.
By domino Go To PostDunkirk knocked my ass out in the theater it was so dull. Good looking movie tho
the very first gunshot sound almost made me deaf. fucking hell, that was loud.
By Arnie Go To PostI think it’s very effective filmmaking but I have to say it absolutely makes a difference that I’m English. As someone who has multiple family members who fought in the war it gives me eye tears like very few (non Tom-Hanks) films can.I think the movie illustrates the scale of anonymity and desperation somewhat well. It's a different take compared to the usual build up and focus of a few characters that go through grieving, violence, desperation and so on.
The chaos on that beach, a mass escape like that is certainly special and I like the approach.
I can understand some people not being the biggest fans of that and the movie is far from being a masterpiece, but it's pretty good and something different while cinemas get flooded with clones of the same movies, remakes etc.
Mou bugging me with this shit. Look at what Pep and Poch have done and what Conte done last year.
Just fucking coach, lad. The excuses are a bit embarrassing in context.
Exactly. Making excuses about money when we drew with a Burnley side - who had their first choice keeper, centre back, left back and left midfielder missing through injury - is embarrassing.
By n8 dogg Go To Postwell, he stopped doing that at Madrid

he really needs stacked teams with players in great form these days
I don't think he is shit. We're second. We're massively improved from last year and any year since Fergie's last. Our points record is pretty great. We don't have many great players so he is doing something right.
But he just seems willing to take on Woodward, blame our players, blame the board, he's sometimes blamed the fans... he has never taken the blame for anything or fessed up to a poor performance and it's a bit grating when fun braggadocio is substituted for fucking nonsense like £300m isn't enough when Burnley are the ones taking points off us.

Pogba should be stripped of the captaincy, a bag of bricks he has to carry around
Ibra should be a sub for when we are winning with 15 mins left on the clock
Get rid of Darmian, Blind and Smalling.

Didn't see the game. Don't want to see the highlights.
I concede. Arnie is right, Souness is right, it's over. Not the league, that was done months ago. Season and Mou and 90% of these players are. We are second but we are not finishing second and we are not winning shit. We might not have a manager at the end of the season. Tis done.
Gonna watch Blade Runner again tonight and enjoy life. Fuck football.

José always deflects blame when things aren't going his way. If it's not about transfer budgets, it's injuries... or other mumbo jumbo about unfair advantages.
I believe it's mainly a tactic - to instil the "us versus them" mentality which he's known for - but one that's grown stale and isn't longer effective and hasn't really worked since his days at Real, or perhaps even Inter.
He needs to go back to basics and (re)learn what made him such a legendary coach/manager.

no tactics about it, he just has a really, really tough time not deflecting blame

I don't know what is going on,
I just watched MOTD highlights and Jose had nothing but praise for the way the players fought back - wasn't happy with the result but why would he be?

Indirectly saying they are too shit because we didn't spend enough money though. I mean, they are shit. But he spent more last year than Chelsea; what was his excuse there?
By Francis Go To PostJosé always deflects blame when things aren't going his way. If it's not about transfer budgets, it's injuries… or other mumbo jumbo about unfair advantages. You are right that Mourinho deflects away blame - but most of the time during his stint at Chelsea he would deflect that blame away from his players and make it about something else entirely. Like himself or some other nonsense. Now he seems to be directing the blame toward the club, the players, and apparently even the fans. That is a cause for concern since that only happened during that nightmare 2015/16 season. By that point the writing was already on the wall.

Yeah I'm just gonna have to stop following United media for the rest of the season. This season is starting to become more annoying than all the 6th jokes and draws last year.
I think some fans forgot how boring and shit it actually was under Moyes and LVG and vastly overrated the squad Jose inherited when he came in, and how ruthless Jose was actually allowed to be when it came to selling some of the shit that makes up numbers in our squad. There's about 5 or 6 players we knew were either shit/washed then that are still in the team now. I still think he's got us on the right track and I back him unequivocally to get us back to #1. But all the money we spent was just to catch us back up to the pack correcting about 4 years of poor buys while still making sure we got some ROI on those players. He's done that. More is required to get in front of City who I have no doubt will spend a fuck load more money again. These comments are nothing but Jose trying to drive home to the board what it will take to beat the guys across town even if it does come across tonedeaf.
And yes we spent too much money to not smash Burnley but it's like that sometimes. The comments aren't about Burnley. Well finish second although personally idgaf about second. I see clear progress from last year to this year even if it's not the completed job we all hoped for.
Meanwhile you've got Spurs Liverpool and Chelsea all underperforming (Arsenal is about what we all expected) and it's not even an issue. It's just United are shit. Jose is shit.

But he spent more last year than Chelsea; what was his excuse there?Well, yeah - but he has bought well. If he had gotten everyone he wanted - Perisic say, I dare think we would be in a stronger position.
Not to mention the United tax that the club has to pay for bog-standard/ average players - it really does inflate our dealings somewhat.
I dont think spending more money will fix our problems, our lack of cohesion is not due to a lack of talent.
Double down on the bet Ed, Mou saying he needs more, give him another 350 million.
I mean if thats his excuse even the playing field and let him hang humself.
I agree with domino though, people forget how bad utd were under moyes and lvg.

Maybe a RW? We're basically playing down just 1 flank and still making it happen
I don't mind the options we have at CB. But it'd certainly help if we could keep 2 of them fit long enough to play together. Preferably Lindelof, Rojo or Bailly as they actually know their head from their ass when it comes to playing the ball around.
It's like I said before about Woodward. You can't crow about being able to do things in the market no one else can do and then get tight when other clubs call our bluff on it. Either pay up or go get Poch I guess.
By NinjaFridge Go To PostShould just demolish OT and use it for parking, amirite?Hopefully like that shitty parking where every space is for compact only, lines aren't properly painted and there's only like 1 really slow exit booth. Heck, that could be Miki's next job, just so n8 doesn't feel bad about him not being named in the team sheet anymore.
