Karius might end up better than Mignolet, but I can't see him slotting straight in and being good enough
The pattern will merely continue, Mignolet fucks up and we call for Karius, then vice versa with the odd shout for Danny Ward thrown in
We need a new first choice keeper, a centreback and a DM
That spine is shocking behind Firmino, and we've spent years fannying about making excuses for the lack of ruthlessness
We don't have City money, so we can't just spend and spend until we get it right. But we have to try and shake things up there. Especially in goal, there's nothing systemic there, our selection of keepers simply isn't capable of playing to the standard required. We're not asking for prime Buffon, but these goons can't even come close to Reina's level of 2007 or so.
Until that's fixed, scraping 4th is the best we can hope for

By FlutterPuffs Go To PostI dont think Karius is better than Mignolet. Both have poor decision making, but Mignolet often makes up for it with superior reflexes.
At least Karius has an excuse. He was new to the league and hadn't bedded in properly. Much like De Gea first season. Mignolet has been in the league for over 5 years now and he's been with Liverpool for the last 4. He has no excuse for his howlers.
Fantastic game of football but I have to be disappointed we didn’t win in the end. Tho I would have taken a draw at the start tbh

The amount of space we gave to Liverpool was shocking
This team has no tactical awereness at all
We still have more 557 days of that

By Hitch Go To PostKarius might end up better than Mignolet, but I can't see him slotting straight in and being good enoughKarius has played about 18 games now for Liverpool. This season his main mistake was not doing well enough on a free kick by Spartak, last season he was doing well until the error against Bournemouth followed by a mediocre effort against West Ham. It's just bizarre to judge him on such a tiny sample and how Mignolet is able to escape despite a far inferior record I have no idea.

He is saying not having as much money as city isnt an excuse (not that Ederson was <10 mil)... Which was just used as an excuse.

What top goal keeper is out there for £10 million? Even De Gea back in the days was almost £19 million.

I was just translating for him, not making that argument. But certainly Liverpool are able to afford at least double that on a keeper as well, and you can get a pretty decent experienced one for that.
Hell Torino spent no more than 5 mil on Sirigu just this year... an experienced keeper at the top level with lots of caps for PSG.

Not fucking having it m8. Fudges are for 60 year old Tories who treat child molestation as a sport. At least with an OREO DAIRY MILK you can maintain some modicum of self respect and only partially seem like a paedo.

For 2 mil you can have an absolutely useless shit cunt, who parries every single shot directly to the closest forward as if he was a magnet to the ball.
Luckily we bought a new keeper now. Robin can fuck off.
The unthinkable happened. Vitória de Setúbal, one of the shittiest teams on the league, just won against Braga.
With that result, Benfica has no chance of reaching the first place of the group stage and so they are out of every competition besides the league.

Yeah I realised after reading it again. You are right that we can afford a keeper double that price. Its baffling how Klopp hasn't addressed the defense and goal keeping issues. In the next press conference he will probably say how we don't need to buy any defenders and how he is really happy with the goal keepers he have.
lol we have conceeded 43 points from winning positions since Klopp took charge, more than any other team in Europe. But then it is also this:
#heavymetal
So it is obviously systematic but also the players (and manager)
