By Unreal Champ Go To PostHow is Firmino so underrated? He's practically the engine on this team.
Are you new around here? Because Pele and I nuthug Bobby Firmino like its goin out of style
Firmino is our most irreplaceable player for me. He defines "Klopp's Liverpool".
By BlindCom Go To PostI didn't mean that he needed super stars to play with if you're referring to that, I mean that he's primarily an assister. He has incredible vision and great accuracy with his passes but he needs people who can make use of his assists. He didn't need that.
The team he had at Genk was built around him. He could feed clowns like Ogunjimi, Vossen, Benteke. I assume he was one of the main guys on loan in Bundesliga too.
He was by far one of the most consistent players that was scoring/assisting while also driving his team and being pretty versatile with his positions.
Even with shitty teams like Bremen/Wolfsburg.
Worth every penny and by today's standard he was pretty cheap.

By Mushroom Go To PostHaven't watched any football this weekend, just saw scorelines. But god damn can anyone stop City? The scoreline was generous towards Spurs.

Yeah new around here. Joined up after jumping ship from the NeoGAF fiasco.
But agree with you that Firmino is the Klopp style of player. We need about another 5 of him.
By OneTwoTee Go To PostCommentators are going to be mentioning the u20 WC win for the next ten years.
Yeah like how they keep talking about the WC win so many decades ago.

Sterling, Sane, Jesus, Aguero, Bernardo Silva
hell, put Gundogan into midfield and you can have either KdB or David Silva higher up too. All a bit ridiculous.
By Unreal Champ Go To PostRB Leipzig struggling with 10 men Hertha. 2-0 at the moment. How is that possible?First season of international footy for the club and the majority of players.
Always a struggle for most of the teams. Also the second goal was a freekick and Hertha is pretty hard to play at times.

Oh.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostYou talking about the Hazard that went missing for an entire season? I’m also not sure Hazard would be the type who would want to fight for a place off the bench either.
I agree, don't think Hazard would fight too hard either. I think it was much easier for Mou to trust a flashy guy like Hazard (who was performing at a higher level than KDB too back then) over KDB. Unlikely Hazard would have found himself in the same situation as KDB.
That being said, I think Hazard is tougher nowadays than KDB is but that's merely speculation. Just KDB comes accross as a moaner/whiner who wants things to be played a certain way, referring to what he said about Belgium playstyle under Martinez. He's not wrong, Martinez' tactics are pretty suspect but yeah you don't often see players make a fuss about the manager's tactics in the medias.

Ahhh I forgot they were in the CL. It was just weird that they were struggling despite none of their players leaving in the summer.
I really want Solanke to get his first goal for the club.
Given the favorable draw, Man City can seal off the leauge and just focus on CL. Guess the same could have been said aboit Pep's Bayern's though. 🤔
I feel like KDB is a much more versatile player. He's a player who can keep adding to his game similar to Silva.

By Mushroom Go To Post😰We played a shite game of football against them. Trippier had an absolute mare against Sane, who simply spent his time walking past him with little effort. 4-1? More like 8-1.

Poch really needs to drop him, he's very close to injuring someone on purpose.

I said this recently, that Mane is their best but Firmino their most important and viva dismissed

Easily cuntinho's most consistent performance since the BRod bonanza. Doing well.
We are incredibly bad at defending set pieces for a team like the fuckin monsters in Space Jam.

You almost can’t fully appreciate this stuff as much during the game because it’s not the last ball and things are moving so fast. But when you watch it back..not even fair.
City are amazing going forward, but I think the standard of the PL this season has been pretty shoddy. We are doing well without playing well; all the other big clubs have regressed or stagnated, everyone from 7th downwards pretty shit.
Hard to judge City against teams like Arse 98/02 or us 99/08, even a few Chelsea sides. What they're doing is remarkable but difficult to place them in an all-time list quite frankly.

Really love our 08 team though. Not because I think they're better, but the versatility we had.

They are destroying teams easily. Walking the league without even trying. And they're performing in CL so...
Wait till the end of the season at least before this talk

No, it honestly isn't. I think they're doing stunningly well. I think they'll be up there with the great great teams if they keep it up, but the quality in their way has been weaker than in the past. Watford are supposed to be having a really good season and already find themselves 30 points behind them, 20 behind us even. Everyone from them to the bottom are just... not very good.
Saints have regressed. Everton have regressed. Leicester have certainly done no more than hold steady. Stoke have regressed. The only teams that have improved on last year are Burnley who are a statistical aberration and us, and we aren't really playing any better.
I think, like you mentioned, CL is very key to writing this City side's legacy.
Also ederson is incredible. I was in awe of his passing yesterday. The only thing he has over DDG.
There's one point he did a goal kick out to the right like 80 fucking yards on a dime. I replayed it like four or five times trying to explain to my buddy how much better he is than Lloris.

Chelsea has regressed too. Not only through the loss of Diego Costa but with Luiz fallen out of favor with Conte. Christensen's good but, Luiz has time and time again unlocked defenses with his long passes from deep.
Also this. A defender, up top, during an open play.

Not to kick those who are already down but...
I've just seen Spurs are down to 7th, 1 point below Burnley in 6th. 10 points behind United and 21 to City.
What's happened with them?

The biggest is probably that they are in the transition stage after moving to Wembley. Losses/draws there means that they can't really build up their confidence to play better away.

Lloris back to being lolris.
