By GQman2121 Go To PostHe bought a lot of players too, but few worked out. In fact, pretty much everyone he bought those first two years is gone. Schurrle, Salah and Cuadrado being the biggest flops.
Willian still hanging in there and Zouma is in contention but I think that's it.
Our best summer transfers we're directly after the Champions League win. Hazard, Courtois, Azpili, Christensen, Moses in one window.
It would be difficult to call Cesc or Costa flops as well.
By W Go To PostIt would be difficult to call Cesc or Costa flops as well.Yeah, they were year two. That's fair. Good recent record with Spanish players.
This could be pretty good.
By W Go To PostNice to see a tribute to Keith Chegwin.
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostWe didn't even get Perisic, meanwhile City was happy to spend more than 60 million on Alexis Sanchez.
In the end Woodward is expected to balance the books, and get a profit this season. There's a reason why Woodward's policy in spending during January will only happen if we sell some players. We can barely keep up with City, and I dont see why it's wrong to state it that way.
The point I'm trying to make is your operating on a relatively similar playing field (you spent like 138 to there 142 this season or something). It just seems a deflection from a utd fan mentioning city's spending when they do they pretty much similar amounts of spending. The players that they signed have just worked out better.

So your Sky Sports subscription will also give you BT? Not so bad, but wonder would it affect the monopoly rules.
2019 tho. Will BT even have any football left? When does their CL deal expire?

When I have spent a few rows of text here criticising United's transfer and spending.
Anyway I'll post a response later, seeing as I'm working at the moment.

Nothing I mentioned was aimed specifcally at you btw, I said fans just to generalise as I dont know off the top my head. But I know I've seen the narrative from posters that are utd supporters that city are so far ahead because of the limitless spending power they have when you've spent similar amounts.
Sure there are more to winnig the league than just spending but its no coincidents that the two manchester clubs are top as they've spent significantly more than anyone. However only of them is significantly ahead of the rest.
We can attribute to the fact that city signings have just worked out better for them (comparing the jose era). Not even saying man utd have been bad (think you've been really good tbh) but city have just bought better and (providing they carry on as are) have a better manager.
That was dreadful from Leicester. Palace are just bullying them in midfield.
Zaha, Benteke and RLC look formidable going forward together with the ball.

By Hixx Go To PostMan, Roy has made Palace very competent again.Imagine if none of them get relegated. Instead, Eddie "Future England NT Manager" Howe, Rafa, and Paul Clement fall.
Not bad for an old Brexit cunt, right?
Heskey and Morrison are the Sky pundits. Canny different from the old Redknapp/Sounness duo! How the fuck is Clinton Morrison not 40 yet, feel like he's been playing since I was only a kid wtf.

Three different managers in charge at Leicester this year already and not one has rated Iheanacho or Slimani good enough to get a run of games. Slimani I suppose already has one foot out the door too.

Batshuayi is still dead...
But I think he has his heart and mind set on playing for Chelsea. Next summer is it for him. Or at least it should be. He'll have a decision to make.

Not an ounce of talent in that starting team. Grim as fuck. Lots of pace and directness on the bench though. Interesting to see what he does with it.
