By GQman2121 Go To PostYes, and that business is artificially inflated sponsorships. But regardless, you really shouldn't care or even try and make sense of it.City's sponsorships are actually quite undervalued at this point. Shirt/stadium deal should be about double what it is and the kit deal is going to significantly increase soon.. 3x or so (apparently the Nike number that is thrown around was just the first year and it has increased over time, but it is still pathetically low).

Pretty easy to inject money to the club that way.

Pretty easy to inject money to the club that way.I think City also shift a ton of their costs onto the other clubs they own like the New York team, so they don't need to display so much income.
Theyre really much more subtle about the whole thing when compared with PSG, who just cover all their FFP issues with one super massive Qatar sponsorship deal that is bigger than anything else in world football

By sohois Go To PostCity's sponsorships themselves might be undervalued but the commercial income is massively inflated, is probably what people are referring toDon't think that is entirely accurate to be honest. I'm sure there's still a bit of that, but City have very few sponsors from UAE at this point -- they have huge commercial offices who put in work. Lots of those absurd life insurance sponsor for Malaysia and the Philippines, etc. type deals which United get stick for. City have a product that is worth £10m a year from Amazon -- they can command big bucks from anyone who wants to attach the City name to their brand.
With that being said, I do understand that people will always just assume ANY deal with City is a way to get in close to the UAE gov't, etc. and isn't a result of them being one of the best clubs in the world.
And r.e. previous page.. I'm not a big fan of ignoring people so that is why I still deal with doicare. I know it would probably make it better here to do so but oh well.

The club is one of the best in the world because of their relationships with these government owned companies.

By Kidjr Go To Postno doubt, whole heartidly agree which is why i didnt even mention cheslea. because when operating in the self sufficient manner chelsea has chelsea cant compete with the manchester clubs no one can. And whatever the means (whether it was ran as a business or a rich mans toy thing) man utd have acted and spent as if there equal so i just cant here that noise. We didn't even get Perisic, meanwhile City was happy to spend more than 60 million on Alexis Sanchez.
Like chelsea come closest to net spend in past 5 seasons and even then its over utd have still spent over 100% more. Financial power is an excuse everyone else BUT utd can use for city's dominance.
Did you save any pets today?
In the end Woodward is expected to balance the books, and get a profit this season. There's a reason why Woodward's policy in spending during January will only happen if we sell some players. We can barely keep up with City, and I dont see why it's wrong to state it that way.

Mkhitaryan, 28, has been absent from seven of United's last eight matchday squads and sources at Old Trafford have confirmed that the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder angered Mourinho by disagreeing with the manager's assessment of his contribution during a substitute appearance against Brighton on Nov. 25.

So your Sky Sports subscription will also give you BT? Not so bad, but wonder would it affect the monopoly rules.
Doubt it'll apply to customers getting Sky Sports through TalkTalk TV :(
Might just cancel that and go back to Sky if the combined package actually works that simply and doesn't have caveats like no CL football

The patented Mourinho method. I guess it worked for De Bruyne, Ozil, Salah and Lukaku.
Im not having any “soft lad” shit about Micky either. Until he met Mourinho he had an excellent work rate, adaptability, and steely mentality.

Dude had nothing but glowing reports about his personality. Pre-Mou, I mean.
He has been very bad for us though apart from a few games at the beginning of this season. I mean i prefer this approach of culling the players not performing to the standards rather than making excuses for their performances game after game and sticking them in the lineup hoping they regain form. Every game matters and we cant excuse poor performances.
KDB and Lukaku were too young and Mou had Hazard and Costa so why would he play KDB or Lukaku who were pressuring for a starting position ahead of them?
Chelsea supporters will vouch for the fact that Salah was shit for them when he played for them.
Ozil?

Finally caught up on Game of Thrones..
Its straight up anime now and it works for the show.
It just works better when its embracing the ridiculous and not getting bogged down with too much soap-opera nonsense.
I hope Micky Targaryan makes it, on his day, he is superb, but he was very poor for us and can't blame Mou for dropping him.
Hopefully he makes an appearance in the league cup games to build some confidence

I agree with his completely.
Lukaku had actually returned from West Brom where he scored something like 15 goals. But then he blew that penalty in the Super Cup against Bayern and Mourinho loaned him to Everton and went into his first season back with Torres, Ba and Eto'o.
Costa joined year 2 (Drogba & Remy as well) and Lukaku then moved permanently to Everton.

I don't really blame Mou (or Chelsea) that much for selling Lukaku and KdB. They had a stacked squad back then, and Oscar for a brief 2 seasons, was pretty good.
He bought a lot of players too, but few worked out. In fact, pretty much everyone he bought those first two years is gone. Schurrle, Salah and Cuadrado being the biggest flops.
Willian still hanging in there and Zouma is in contention but I think that's it.
Our best summer transfers were directly after the Champions League win. Hazard, Courtois, Azpili, Christensen, Moses in one window.
