I don't watch MOTD because of those two clowns.
The constant use of "quality" to explain everything fuck's me off too. Barely any explanation about anything.

If anything I think that Disney showed they can make good stuff with the properties they get their hands on. MCU and Star Wars as prime examples.
Can't wait for all the hot takes about Xmen. Because Disney would have no other interest in a $30B company then some comic book shit
I guess they're gonna tie in the remaining Marvel properties with MCU now. The thing I dread the most though is Disney being so serious about competing with Netflix. It won't be long before all their content is pulled off of Netflix probably and that only makes the streaming market messier. I guess when 2020 comes around I need to subscribe to two or three different streaming services to have a proper library. In other words, I suppose downloads are gonna be rising more and more in the years to come if this is how it plays out.
By Laboured Go To PostI want us to get Weigl or Saul in the summer so we can have a gorgeous midfield with Poggy and Matic. But we won't cus Mou wants to play with a 10 instead, which I suppose makes sense if he wants to play counter. After Kagawa Bastian Mkhi I would say no to any Bundesliga player at United.

Get ready for the new cycle:
-Service is divided between a few big companies offering the same shit
-Consumers turn to piracy
-New entrant realizes you need to offer superior service to piracy to get consumers
-New entrant gains monopoly
-Big companies see monopoly, try to create their own competitor
-Service is divided between a few big companies offering the same shit
-Consumers turn to piracy
etc.
Tbf the attempts to do this to Steam and Spotify seem largely to have failed, but I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen to TV/Movies

Yep spot on
By Zabojnik Go To PostNot sure if I really like this or if it's really off.
Mmm.
2 big companies merging = less competition
We lose, they win.
How can anyone celebrate this news? Comic book geeks, man.

By Kidjr Go To PostHappy for you Cola, would say its much better than TFA.This film is an absolute tour de force, it makes tfa look like a saturday kids cartoon compared to the simpsons
This might be the best of the lot
High praise, will need to see again, literally never been that affected by a film before in a cinema, ever

Glad you star wars guys are happy.
Will wait for IMAX tickets I think.
Cola cus I really dont care enough to not want spoil myself would mind giving me the biggest spoilers pls, just curious.
There are some scenes you only think about in your dreams and you are like, damn well never see that in a SW film, some of this shit is better than that, I wish I could talk about it more.
I read a spoiler free review today that said the film is about moments, and its so true, if you go in thinking "Oh I cant wait to see the big moment", no dude, wait 5 mins and see one, then see another 12-15 each making you go "holy shit thats amazing", it never stops, the films pacing is almost flawless, and the parts that are not flawless dont matter because the other parts just go so well.
If TFA is "safe" and ill be fair to that, it was, safe but necessary, this is risk after risk after risk, I could talk about it for days.

I'm with Cola. Really enjoyed TLJ, right now it's probably my favorite Star Wars film.
On a whole it is just wonderful, with just a few niggling issues.

I think the market of music streaming is pretty diverse now. With Apple Music we have a proper contender for Spotify in size. And with Tidal and Qobuz we have streaming services that focus on audio quality besides the content. Tidal offers pretty much the same as Spotify still. And then there's Deezer that's pretty big in a few markets. Only downside to have multiple players is some (timed) exclusives with new releases. But all in all I'm pretty satisfied as a Tidal subscriber.
By Kidjr Go To PostGlad you star wars guys are happy. If you want to PM me sure, but ill say this, whereas I say "moments" this film is not "luke i am your father" or "Han dies", its not a film that exists on that spectrum, its allll about the context.

By FlutterPuffs Go To PostI'm with Cola. Really enjoyed TLJ, right now it's probably my favorite Star Wars film.Yes it is absolutely not perfect, there are entire sections where I was not bored but, it seemed pointless really, like an excuse to show something rather than a justification, but pretty much all of that is located to one story arc which I wont name, you will guess im sure.

The character development shits all over tfa, every character (save one) is rounded and nuanced.
And that opening :|

The company that holds the rights to Dutch football also falls directly under 21st Century Fox. I just assumed Disney bought the whole package.
Very late to this but finally saw Justice League last night.
Still unsure about what I watched to be honest. Best way I can describe it is that everything was just 'there'. Like here's your plot, here's your exposition, here's your action. Everything seemed so half baked. There was no build up to anything and any setbacks or triumphs fell flat because nothing was done to make you care about these characters.
Poor movie but not as insultingly bad as Batman V Superman.

Well kinda sad we have turn to that. I'm perfectly fine with paying for my Netflix and Tidal. But if content is gonna be spread all across the universe I'm out.
Netflix is still good because you can share the account.
Netflix + Disney thing would be ok to me. HBO goes into the distros category for me
