I wonder, with all memes aside, when Wenger will ACTUALLY quit or be fired.
Before 2020 i assume.
Perhaps the 18/19 season being the last

Glad to see we won. Missed the last 20 mins on the plane. Dropped points below us too even better
I thought we looked fairly comfortable in what I saw. Bournemouth never a threat. Just wish the team went out to make a statement today. Everyone in the attack was on a different page than each other

you don't need nudes on top of hearing farts and deuce drops
By Hitch Go To PostAbsolute cloggers in 5 key positions is the main culprit.
None of our goalkeeper, centreback or CM options are good enough except for Matip on a good day. That's pretty much the entire spine that will have to be fixed in the coming windows. Obviously the defense and keeper can't be blamed for most of our failures against teams like West Brom today, but still.
That's not to say our attack played well today or on Sunday, not by a long shot.
Hopefully Keita provides the thrust and extra number we need from CM when our attackers are running into a brick wall like they were today.
I hope so. Hopefully when Can leaves we get a much better replacement because that guy is frustrating to watch. Although ~I would prefer him on the pitch over Henderson any day.

Arsenal and Liverpool dropping points is the icing on the cake. It makes our result ever so sweeter.
I thought the performance tonight was dire, but at the end of the day it's yet another game which would have definitely ended in a draw - if not loss - last year.
City are having an unfathomable season and there's not much you can do about that. Even if we had won against them I don't think it would've really mattered in the grand scheme, they're just that good.
Had it been another time who knows? But it's not very realistic to expect us to keep up with them, and while it's not over I'd feel inclined to say they have got this in the bag.
What I'm actually trying to say is United are doing really well. Chelsea/Liverpool/Tottenham/Arsenal are below us and the latter three with a margin. I don't remember at what position we found ourselves at this stage last year but I'm confident it wasn't 2nd place or with much (positive) space.

And not just a 3 point gap to 3rd place, but with a 9 goal better goal difference to third place too. Which is interesting given how much talk there is of how boring we are. In some ways I think our early row of 4 goal wins and City's performances have thrown fans' expectations entirely out of kilter.
Our last 4 finishes have been 7th, 4th, 5th and 6th. We're heading in a good direction and I don't get the whinging. Our play was so much worse under LvG and Moyes and we didn't get results either.
