I was actually curious to see if dude would show up on here, he always seemed cool.
I don't see why we can't. He was a cool guy with ties to a lot of the community. I don't have the logs anymore - I might be able to dig them up but its from two years ago. Long story short, there were two stories and GAF only heard one fragmented and obviously slanted side of it.
I just think that a lot of guys are generally moving past the whole thing. I do hope James posts here though.

I think I was on a GAF break when it happened, so I don't even know the story.Its was complicated to begin with. But with the shadiness and personalities attached to it... its truly too dumb to want to repeat.

I think he was sending stalker texts to a girl on GAF.
The story isn't even all that good. He got banned and never got to plead his case is what it comes down to.

I spoke to her several months after this, and she confirmed that they weren't really creepy/stalker texts, but more along the lines of drunk thirsty texts. The main issue was that he started sending them really late at night, and that he sent several after she tried to signal to him that she wasn't interested.
The girl mentioned this to Evilore, and he got pretty angry and banned James immediately.
Now the girl in question felt pretty bad about the whole thing, as she didn't want James to be banned, and she felt that Evilore overreacted. But it is what it is.

I cut back on my forum posting a lot after they permabanned my second account (Puddles) last year. I had thought about making yet another alt, but it never seemed worth the effort, and it's definitely not worth the effort if NBA GAF is gone.
It's really a shame what happened to James. He was also a very active member of Real-Pic GAF, and immediately after Evilore posted the story, his name was mud in that community as well. Shocking Alberto, who was more or less the Real-Pic ringleader at that point, perma-banned him from the IRC room they were using.
It's sad that on a forum with so many goddamn genuine creepers (Pony-GAF, Anime-GAF, Figure-GAF, just for starters), a fairly decent guy got dragged through the mud.

Yeah, I remember seeing some of those text snaps now...I didn't recall them being thirsty, stalker-ish, creepy, or rapist. They were flirtatious, for sure. But dude was labeled a grease bag as if he had just stepped into a room with Chris Hansen.
