So I played some FIFA18 at a mate's house and I was quite taken with it! I've never bought into any of the franchise sports games footy game I really got into was Sensible Soccer on the amiga. Couple days later the dude I was playing with said he only put it on because it was easier for an idiot (me) to pick up and mainly plays PES now. I googled some more and all I found was various forums for each game saying how much they fucking hate the one they apparently choose to spent dozens/hundreds of hours on and how shit it is / they both are. Not amazingly helpful in making a choice. I'm not spending $100+ buying two footy games. How does footysl&ent rule between the two?

Also, PES is region locked online.
Edit: another thing, PES will be on sale soon enough. It's normally around 30€/30$ by mid December and this year's version should be the same as it's selling poorly once again.

CDKeys has it so cheap already I just bought it (PES) outright. 35 bucks is inside the impulse buy threshold for sure, it is allowed to kind of suck.

Really though those kind of advanced tactical controls won't make a big amount of difference to the game if you don't use them. Best way to learn that stuff is to just experiment while playing.
Also, since you've just got the game make sure you find a good option file. Not sure what the best one is at the moment but I'm sure you can google some easy enough
Had some good games on PES with Zabo recently, although one horrible game using Liverpool. For some reason their CBs push up while their FBs run back which, while hilarious, makes the ol' defending difficult.

It's just sometimes..... 😫 feels like they do more harm than good to the progress we trying to make.
ResetEra really has an incredible amount of annoying cunts that moved there from gaf, with so far (and pray for that to keep up) better moderation. A few of the mods I really don't like, but no one has done anything crazy so far from what I have seen, and I was kind of impressed how they dealt with idiots like Beseda and a few of their own users, trying to create drama over TheBore members being on resetera (claiming they doxx people and shit, which is just not true).
The forum software is fucking great to use though, and with the amount of active people there, it's already a great replacement for gaf, for gaming news.
