How did that happen when TNO was so gud?
By Laboured Go To PostHow did that happen when TNO was so gud?I'm not the biggest TNO fan on the block, but it was considerably better than this. I reckon I'm halfway through and it genuinely feels like the levels (and the shooting that goes with it) were designed by a bored-out-of-its-mind algorithm. If it wasn't for the characters / story / Nazis, I'd consider quitting. I'll see it through to the end, but I'm defenitely not bothering with any side content. Dunno, maybe I expected too much after Doom.
TNC is just so much worse than TNO. Easily my disappointment of this year when it comes to games and that's in a year with ME: Andromeda.
TNC is closer to your average CoD (with worse shooting...) than it is to The New Order imo. Very disappointing.
People rave about the story as well but I thought it was a pretty boring and standard middle section of a trilogy. The first had a much more satisfying revenge story...

By Laboured Go To PostIs it especially different from TNO?The pickup system? I don't remember how it was in TNO, but here it requires you to point at ammo / items and press a button to pick it up (feels like half the time the presses don't even register), which is incredibly annoying in what is supposed to be a fast-paced shooter. You pick stuff up automatically, if you run over it, but you have to run DIRECTLY over it, unlike in Doom. They should've just copied the latter. I mean, it's not the end of the world, you can get by by hitting 'E' like a maniac as you pass by corpses and shelves, but it's just a stupidly inefficient system.
Hmmm ok, sounds same-ish to TNO. Feel like a lot of people are expecting DOOM's shoot and rush play-style to work here when actually it's not that kind of shooter or am I off base? Does sound silly that melee kill animations leave you vulnerable tho.
Seems like despite the way it was advertised you still have to turtle quite a lot, which is what i did in TNO. Many times in TNO I was running around on tiny health trying to win gun fights by hiding behind walls.

By LFMartins86 Go To PostBasically, the Peruvian government wants to take over the Peruvian Football Association. FIFA hates when governments try to control the Football Associations so they might ban Peru from the World Cup if it goes through.I thought they were going to get booted for cheating or something.
From what I've heard it's more of the benny hill kind of gameplay. Don't stop too long, run circles around enemies but also don't wait till they get too close. Level design is bad from what I understand.

Yeah level design and the way that dictates combat scenarios is more what I'm concerned about.
By KP Go To PostIts been a while since I engaged in the darker side of the web.Why do you need to keep it? If you just want to watch something then Kodi would do fine. If you need to actually keep something then the distros are your best bet. For both options though if you want to be safe you should use a VPN.
But lets say i wanted to procure a movie that perhaps i'd like to keep on my laptop. Where would one go about this business

Kodi is free and perfectly legal software designed for home theatre PCs, but also with a lot of flexibility due to "addons". Download at https://kodi.tv/
Assistance with addons can be found at the perfectly legitimate subreddit, https://www.reddit.com/r/Addons4Kodi/ . That Link will provide guides to installing addons such as YouTube, among others.
Distros is slang for a torrent website, due to people downloading their fully legal Linux distros from such websites. You find a list of torrent websites to download more Linux distros at https://unblocked.pl/
A VPN is basically a way of disguising your internet traffic. This is typically done so Theresa May can't find out what porn you like, and not for anything illicit. You.will normally have to pay a small fee to use a VPN.

The most effective way to play is to run around like an idiot dual wielding. It's simply not as fun as DOOM is at that, though. If you try to play stealthy like was very feasibly done in TNO you are just in for a tedious time.

If you try to play stealthy like was very feasibly done in TNO you are just in for a tedious time.Don't really agree with this. Playing the game like it is the new DOOM isn't even remotely feasible on the "normal" difficulty (Bring It On), so no you can't run around running and gunning. You will get killed and killed very quickly.
The way to play Wolfenstein TNC is to go from cover to cover, and use the the entire battle arena in every encounter because the way the levels are designed is there are several locations and zones for you to refill your ammo and health. The game plays differently to TNO but I think it's still really good, just more difficult. The main problem is you have little to no feedback of when you're getting shot in TNC. And stealth is very poor but at least you don't get punished much if captains sound the alarm.
If it's not "remotely feasible" how did I do it? With a fucking control pad as well. I'm garbage at shooters with pads (or maybe they're garbage THINKINGEMOJI). There's no penalty for hip firing so you run around like a cunt getting up close to make it as easy as possible to get headshots which are very, very strong. It would be even more effective if I was using a mouse tbh. There's like... 1 enemy in the entire game that getting close to was a bad idea. And they're rare, mini-boss types.
It's just not as well designed as the first game. It's way, way more effective to rush the commanders and kill them than it is to try and play it slow, especially towards the end when they are either really far away or in the middle of a group of enemies. It's crap compared to TNO.

I don't know how you do what you're claiming. Everything I've read from others and experienced about the game points to running and gunning not being feasible on the default difficulty and up. Especially in the first half when you have 50 health max. BJ dies way too quickly.

By Perfect Blue Go To PostWho would you want to replace him? Don't think I've read anything other than weird Willian rumours.Well, I don't want him to leave but he's probably toast unless José goes in the summer. Mkhitaryan isn't mentally "strong" and Mourinho preaches tough love so if you can't adapt to his methods you're gone.
Willian would suffice - though they're not very similar players. I don't really view him as a central playmaker.
Özil makes more sense.
Got to love Jimmy Anderson. Man's a metronome and a cunt that gets results that must be a genuine piss boiler for the Aussies.

There are a few moments when you'll have to cover up and regen some health, but overall it's much easier to just blast through with a shotgun and the assault rifle in your hand.
Rest is exactly like Hixx said. The level design is shit compared to the first title, both with the visual design ( you hardly see how Murica changed, except for one or two smaller sections. The rest is pretty much ruins and bunkers) and the bloated levels that don't have any alternatives and just alot of dead ends where you'll get nothing.
Didn't like the story or characters that much either. Feels like a giant mess with alot of pieces sticked together and appear over the top for the sake of being over the top. Which doesn't work, especially when you combine it with the inner monologue stuff from the first half of the game.
The first title already had a few problems, but it was an early title within the gen and the first title from the studio. Expected them to step up and deliever an even better experience. The only major step up was the visuals, and the voice work.
Hit detection and indicator are dog shit, the pick up system doesn't work that well. Nearly no enemy variety, no proper bosses and no one iconic on the enemy side, with the exception of one scene that's hardly having any impact though.
It's not a bad game, but it's a step down from the first title.

Do you want to know a dirty secret
when they let you get 100 health they dont let you keep the bonus armour
#placebo
I played on hard when i was stealthing and got bored as fuck of dying when i was spotted and trying to take cover around the time that you go home and the house gets ripped up so i put it on the normal difficulty and it was very easy to run around and just kill everyone.
there are two very specific moments in the game that taught me that playing too defensive was a waste of time: the penthouse and the already infamous dream level. staying still in either of those levels is gg. you have to kill as fast as possible.
Right I'm watching an Australian feed and they're teaching children to play Cricket in a way I'm not entirely comfortable with.

By Pennywise Go To PostIt's the only feasible option.I found it easiest to play with the scoped assault rifle and quick scope everything, tbh. I seemed to die most when I ran out into the open with a shotgun because BJ dies way too fast.

Fair enough on the other points, to each their own. I loved the game so much I'm not regretting my collector's edition purchase lol.

Reading the RE thread on Wolfie 2 and it seems like kb/m players seem to have less problems, which explains why Hixx is so hopeless. It doesn't explain Zabo's issue and I'm starting to wonder whether I need to file a vote of no confidence re: Zabo's PC brotherhood membership.
Ponting's tossing balls at these kids and I can't help but think that the Aussies hold themselves to lower standards tbqh.

As I've said, it's not a tragic flaw and I'm slowly getting over it by the power of sheer resignation, it's just that it's something so easily fixed - increase the auto-pickup area circle around BJ by a meter, fucking done - that it boggles the mind how a multitude of people play-tested this and went "you know what, that's just perfect as is".
Agreed on pretty much everything else with Hixx and Penny. Sorry, Perfect.
All good, man. I totally get why The New Colossus is seen as disappointing to some. I probably shouldn't have used the phrase "not feasible", too.
