Both clubs have been on a weekly rampage of accusations and casting aspersions about Benfica. In a country where the justice system doesn't work and people revel in buffoonery it’s been a smart strategy.

Also funny that refs have been threatened and accused of being corrupt for months and just after a single day where BTV broadcasted a show refuting Porto’s accusations and defending that refs, who as human beings that worry for their families have had threats made about them just minutes before games, all of a sudden the refs and governing bodies have something to say. Funny how this works. Shit, a certain club's president even made some comments regarding wishing he could kick a ref's ass but was afraid he might enjoy it (some... idiotic gay implication joke I assume?). They didn't have any problems then, what's the difference? That we called other club's out on their bullshit and called other people who govern refs on their bullshit? That's a terrible crime. Nothing like threats of violence and creating an atmosphere where you can't discuss actual football.

It's what we wanted from Rooney, but Ibra, bless his heart, at the age of 36 and recovering from an ACL tear was a pretty great fulcrum in the middle. Granted he probably lost a lot of his already receding speed, but his positioning, passes were wonderful.
