By Ashwinho Go To PostI missed Moyes' return game 😑And he has a shit run of games coming up too. He's doomed.
Holy shit
Moyes is a charlatan. I honestly think it's fair to say his Everton days were a fluke, and - in hindsight - not all that.

This is unfair. Was there ten years. Got them a CL place. Routinely troubled the top clubs and finished above the rest. He's been left behind as a top level manager but unfair to rewrite his career. Everton have hardly done any better without him.
10 years is not a fluke Francis.
But he lost his mojo since then. It's like he thinks he's too good for the clubs he managed after United.

How does Moyes motivate himself when he was essentially humiliated at one of the ultimate jobs in world football? He's damaged goods. He wasn't a ridiculous appointment for United at the time and he indeed had a tough time there but everyone knew it would be that hard for anyone who took the job anyway.
His fall since then is blatantly obvious though and, although the fans don't deserve it, the people who run West Ham absolutely deserve what will happen next.

In his last four seasons he finished 8th, 7th, 7th and 6th.
Left them with a win % of 42 and no trophies.
I agree my post is the definition of a hot take but I don't see any controversy in stating that it's not anything particularly special - his record is uneven.
With that said, of course he did do a commendable/respectable job and I shouldn't have used the term "fluke" because that's not what 10 years is. I'm just not convinced he was ever a very good manager.
He had no money to spend and Everton were on the verge of relegation when he took over iirc. He did very well there.
Thing is Francis. He managed Everton to a midtable finish consistently for 10 years. Thats the mark of a good manager.
Managers who gets teams into CL are great. Those who win trophies (that are worth a damn) are world class.
Moyes was a pretty good manager, despite some rumblings from the fans during his reign at Everton. Keep in mind Im using past tense when talking about Moyes though.

He was never fit for Utd job. That straight up destroyed him

I scratched my car today by pulling in too close to a pillar in a parking lot. I couldn't move forward (wall), so I had to reverse, and it scraped the side and then I heard these awful sounds. When I got out, it left a small dent - the car was at an angle when I reversed, and it put the body under strain. Fucking hell. Embarrassing. I hope it won't cost an arm and a leg.
What's funny is you could potentially say the same about Poch, or Silva, or any other of these guys who have done well in recent years, yet, have won nothing. Who's to say what would happen if they took over a club the size of and with expectations of a United.
The only thing that was a certainty is that whomever followed Ferguson was going to be a downgrade. It was magnified times tens because Moyes was that much of a failure.
