This is amazing.
This is westernization.
Only way Putin can respond is by also switching to Latin script, or by invading and annexing Kazakhstan.
Only way Erdogan can respond is by speeding up the Islamization of Turkey and reverting the Turkish language back to an Arabic script (I guess?), lest this Latinization continue to become the new hotness.
The president of Kazakhstan is straight gangsta tho. WWIII watch, when?

That seems kinda wild. In thinking about this I suppose it's not that tough, but from an educational standpoint this seems like a nightmare.

Its not a slavic language so using Cyrillic didn't make sense but not sure why the latin alphabet would really be any better

This feels like trying to transition from imperial to metric but even worse. Not that I disagree with moving forward, it just seems like a logistical nightmare. Could you imagine being a parent and your child comes home from school using a different alphabet than the one you used?
Places like Kazakhstan know the Latin Alphabet though: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kazakh_alphabets
Besides, this is to be completed by 2025.

That would seem to make the logistics of such a transition easier ... for sure.
As someone who has learned some Russian and can read Cyrillic, I like that alphabet. Except little b, that is stupid.
