“Few people knew the young, low level volunteer named George, who has already proven to be a liar. Check the DEMS!”

Who is going to be the first Repub to bail the f*ck out?
There have been so many instances where people speculated Republican bails and confessions, but they never happen. I think they’ll have to be dragged out by Mueller.
You guys know how we were in a Cold War with Russia and now we realize that we still are? Is it possible that the Civil War ended the same way that WW2 did, that we've been in a Cold Civil War ever since, and we're only now realizing it? Did Russia realize it before we did?
And Corey Lewandowski, when asked on NBC about the email string with George P, said, "I don't recall." Sounds familiar.
Do any of ya'll get complete amnesia about your coworkers only a year after a project together?

Downplaying Popdopolous and the indictments is the only thing the admin can do, short of firing Mueller

I dont think he will go that far. He will just say the nanny raised them

Bernie's comments are for the most part correct. This battle is important, but we're still fighting taxes, the erosion of regulations, the EPA, Healthcare etc. That being said ... de-legitimizing Trumps presidency may help us win in 2018 and 2020. The GOP brand needs to be dragged through the mud here at a base minimum.

That's a really good read, even without the ether. People really need to educate themselves on this country's past, the hero-worship is nauseating.
If people had been allowed to continue to own black people in peace, we could all be friends.
I'd say I can't believe that this Civil War bit is their new talking point, but judging by the campaign Ed Gillespie has run, the Republican racist dog whistle is just a bullhorn now.

By Fenderputty Go To PostThe senate contiuing to waffle of legislation to protect Mueller is troublingThis is the real crisis happening in front of us. McConnell and Ryan will continue to protect Trump because they're afraid of his base, they're afraid of angering Breitbart and Fox News, and they see Trump as a useful idiot, the pen they need to sign their tax cuts and welfare cuts into law.
Trump becoming a despot is going to take their cooperation and isn't he lucky enough to have it.

Not that I disagree with this, but we have some signs that should signal a shift.
In general, the eGOP isn't afraid of their base during elections. They all coalesce. They're afraid of getting primaried. So one would think there would be a breaking point in which these fears no longer bite. One thing to look for would be whether his support for a primary candidate would matter. This was not the case for Alabama. The guy who he backed lost. His approval is also abysmal. It keep tanking. If the daily gallup poll is any indicator, this round of tax battles and the manfort coverage continues to hurt him.
There was also an article that cam out not so long ago. I don't remember the source. Essentially a GOP insider admitted that they're not doing anything until their tax battle is done. Which was troubling because the article wasn't talking about Mueller but how everyone is terrified he's gonna push the nuke button.
Basically ... I'm looking for cracks and am saddened I don't see any.
