Capcom continues to suck
I’ve been fortunate enough to work on the games that shaped my life, a definite dream come true, but now I feel it’s time for the next generation to be able to do the same. There’s no doubt in my mind that the current generation has their own unique ideas that will push Capcom’s fighting games forward in terms of innovation and evolution. I definitely look forward to seeing those ideas come to fruition in the future.
Capcom continues to suck
By Grimsat Go To PostI wonder if this has anything to do with how MvC ended up.
Was the sales fairly decent?
By Rmagnus Go To PostWas the sales fairly decent? It bombed in Japan and UK, charted 6 in the NPD.
By giririsss Go To PostDoes capcom do anything but fighters now?devil may cry is all but confirmed, PSX should be the reveal.
I was very critical about ComboFiends direction with SFV and MVC:I. The mechanics he put in place for SFV left a very bad taste for me to support SFV in the direction it started with. You can see the difference in combat direction with Woshige as Battle planner compared to Combo with the season two cast. V-Trigger ended up being just another X-Factor than making the character unique for some. Look at Juri, Zeku, Menat, Akuma, Urien and to a lesser extent Ibuki. They feel like they have an extra layer you have master compared to the OG cast that is filled with mid punch frame traps and mid hit crush counters. And I am not even going to start with anti-air jabs and normals having a deceptive reach. When sometimes crouching mid-punch makes more sense to use than mid-kick because it will whiff at times and you clearly see the kick reaching and going through the opponent. But I also understand the pressure and the limitations he was given. He is an overall good due and I wish him the best.
By giririsss Go To PostDoes capcom do anything but fighters now?Sucks when posts like these actually have some truth to them. Capcom and Konami have so many great IPs and what we mostly get is SF, RE and MGS
By giririsss Go To PostDoes capcom do anything but fighters now? They sell you ports of old games for $20.
There's Monster Hunter, which is probably the remaining well-regarded IP that Capcom is actively developing.
By RobNBanks Go To PostYou don’t play anything but UT99 why does it matterThere was a time when my life had a different kind of happiness....anyway, UT99?

Sorry, my post wasn't meant to troll. Just not up on their catalogue, but so much of it seems Fighters based.
Haven't played a RE in ages... but then i only own a 360.

Mega Man
Breath of Fire
Onimusha
Ghosts 'n Goblins (yeah PSP game was great but that was ages ago)
Power Stone
Rival Schools (fighter game but still)
Dino Crisis
Maximo
Zack & Wiki
and a bunch of other shit
Yeah Project Justice, was a great improvement in every fucking aspect. Played the shit out of it too (did play lots of rival schools as well). Seriously that's like the second best fighting game on Dreamcast after Soul Calibur, the GOAT fighting game (together with SF2)

Have thousands up thousands of hours in Soul Calibur / 2 & 4. (3 was the ps2 only one and 5 was ~~~).
SC was indeed the GOAT.
By Suen Go To PostYeah imo SC2, 3 or 4 (never tried 5) came anywhere close to being as good as SC.
I just meant the franchise in general. 2 and 4 were very good too. But it seems the franchise lost a lot of steam with 3.
