These are people that see all the issues regarding concussions and injuries in their sport and still wanted to make players play two more games a year. Optics mean nothing (because their fans don't care anyway).

They can keep saying racist things because they're all Trump boosters and figure most of their dumb fans are, too. The amount of people that said things like "Keep politics out of football" after all the anthem protests said it all and gave them all the cover they needed.

This doesn't shock me at all. NFL players have always been treated like cattle. The words match the behavior.

That I don't get. The league is 70% black, so you'd think it would be trivial for the players association to take a stronger stand in this context at least.
