Bay Area as well. Take BART from a terminal station into downtown SF, 50 minute ride. I currently like a 5 minute walk from the station, but I'll be moving soon and it's adding 20 minutes of driving to and from the station each day.
I start work early at 6:30AM, so it's gonna suuuuuck.

Orange County to Orange,CA. 20 miles=30 minutes one way car trip. 40 miles round trip, hour travel per day. I do get to telecommute once a week.
I thought I have a commute that I struggle with, but, wow, some of you guys go some lenghts to get to work.
Living in Cologne, Germany and commuting to two different cities for jobs (and sometimes just do home office). Each way is around 90 minutes in often crowded busses and trains. But after now six years of commuting I am getting sick of it and would prefer work in walking distance.

Austin, TX here. Around 30 mins each way. A little less on Fridays since so many people wfh. My company has started offering shuttle service which is very cool but the ride back takes an hour or so because it gets stuck in rush hour traffic.
SF
I work in UCSF so basically a 10 min drive/20 min bike ride or Muni
Used to live in Redwood City which is in the Bay Area peninsula and the driving commute was about 1 hr with traffic.
Def worth the increase in rent to shorten my work commute

Hillbilly country (WV). ~40-minute bus ride to work, which isn't so bad since I always load my phone up with plenty of music and podcasts. I would play my Switch but chances are pretty good I wouldn't have it for long...
I live near uptown Dallas. Commute? None. I work from home. However, there are times of the year I need to travel around DFW and sometimes into Austin and Houston. But on a normal day, I'm like out of bed by 7:59am and on my work computer by 8.

Long Island to Jamaica NY, about 30 minute train ride. Driving would be suicide, I don’t even drive so idk how long it would take. Probably about an hour and a half considering it’s NY and unless you drive at 3am there’s seemingly always traffic since theres like 50 million people on this tiny island
Atlanta. About 15 seconds when I work from home, and about 30 minutes if I do decide to drive into the office, which is rare.
Can you add cost of living to the subject?

I live in a Dallas suburb and work in another... basically from the border of Arlington/Grand Prairie to the corner of Carrolton/Plano/Dallas.
30 mile commute is practically an hour thanks to traffic, and I haven't even mentioned I spend an upwards of $200/month because I use the tollway. If I didn't use the tollway, it'd be a an hour and a half commute so it's pretty much a necessity. :\
I would move closer but rent around my workplace is pretty much an entire paycheck so nah. But also I enjoy driving and find the time to be relaxing, catching up on podcasts, music, or whatever else so I don't hate it that much.
Nice to see you made it here! Is there enough people for a Dallas-SLAENT?

It's hard to know your own cost of living. You can do the Big Mac index thing and post the price of your local Big Mac.
According to economist, the US Big Mac price is $5.30 USD, but I bet I have higher price in midtown Manhattan.
