Chose Milan as my first team to see if they've updated how youth reacts/develops this year and how the new personality system might affect their growth.
Sitting pretty at the top though I'm drawing games against the big sides excluding Roma, my biggest issue is losing the ball in my half and having wingers tucking in etiher posts for tap ins.
Milan have some pretty damn good youth talents - Donnarumma, Kessie, Romagnoli, Calabria, Andre Silva... and all have performed disgustingly well so far. Of course the fullbacks are getting the highest ratings (lol FM please update this) with Calabria being my main assister with 15.
Just bought Milinkovic-Savic to further DOMINATE the midfield and will look into buying solid fullbacks and probably a CAM once Madrid/Arsenal step up their interest in Suso with a concrete bid. He's too sawft for me.
So far definitely liking the game more than last year, but I think I chose a ridiculously good team so I'll need to play more. Apologies if this post is too perfunctory, will post more in-depth later.

I think my favorite thing about FM is how useful intelligent inside forwards are now.
It was pointless for some in FM2017. Just kept running into cup de sacs all match.

Kept Mata in the middle so he can spray passes to either Mkhi or Lingard, since he's slower than both. I thought Lingard sucked but apparently he was MOTM.

My favoured formation and tactics (not gonna bother linking the player instructions but there's lots). Only loss so far is because of that fucking cunt Shaw. Lukaku's only played the first two games and then fucked his hammy. Been Rashford up top most of the season.

n8, get Lindelof as your DM stand in for Matic, he has been great for me.
Works well against fast paced teams like Liverpool too, considering how pacy he is.

Rashford as inside forward works. Lukaku is better supporting and running channels than as target man. Pogba as roaming playmaker makes 100 passes a game.

Won the first of the last 3 matches. Then just needed a win over Hoffenheim to secure EL. Lost it 1-0. Then lost to Dortmund 1-0 as well. Luckily Schalke were so fucking shit, that they lost to Hannover in their last match, saving my ass and securing EL anyway.

Near the end of my second season. Currently top in March and have the Checkatrade trophy final next month against Wigan. Converted to a direct 4-2-3-1 with clearing the ball down the flanks.
After just barely getting into Europa League, I now won the league with one match to go. Nicolai Jørgensen been injured a lot, but Fiete Arp has been on fucking fire. Carlo Holse also shown a lot of promise and so has Bruun Larsen. What a line up lads. Got new full backs and finally some cover for CB. Those two Dutch CB's can be truly amazing in a few seasons.
