I just wanna point out that alpha masculinity thinking/speech similiar to this is neither gonna prevent men from becoming Alt-Right/GG shit-heels nor women from getting sexually assaulted/harassed. Not saying that it's the only factor but yeah, I don't think it's helping anyone.

And Tyler Malka obviously deserves getting blasted for being a repeating & unrepenting sex offender and asshole in general, but it's worth keeping in mind that the consequence of the #MeToo campaign, which started this whole thing and without which we'd stil be at Malka's NeoGaf thinking all's swell, is not just to point fingers at sex offenders but also for every single man to think and reflect on ourselves and our position in society relative to other men and woman. Because this is what Feminism in general is about.

Now that I got my two cents out there: Helly everyone! Nice forum you got here. I was Shiera Seastar on Gaf, mostly just lurking though. Never even got over the post count minimum for a "full Member" status. I did post in FootyGaf a few times years ago though, back before their (first?) banishment.
Maybe I will post here more often, maybe not. We'll see. Definitely gonna wait to see how the transition to ResetEra's gonna play out before signing up there.

I realized that a SHITTON of the (junior) posters on NeoGaf complain about the old Mods and posters being arrogant.
It's near universal projecting a feeling of inferiority, as if they didn't like being told they couldn't do whatever they wanted, and now these evil, mean, controlling mods, who took their manpower away, are paying.

I don't mind living in a smaller city as long as I'm not out in rural Germany. I used to live in Frankfurt (I was born there), and also lived in Hanau. Frankfurt was nice but Hanau was too small population wise.

It always felt weird when i would have an anime avatar on most places (even if they would be self drawn ones) and people would describe GG asshats with descriptors that felt like they included me into them, almost. I know i shouldn't let those kind of descriptors bother me -that they don't include me-, and i know what people mean when they say it, but it definitely feels weird lol. I just wish they took a minute to drop the anger. I get it, I was a frustrated, shrimpy teenage boy that girls didn't care for (even though multiple sources told me a few girls crushed on me). Sarcastic as fuck, figuring the world was against me, of all people. The same month that I dropped the bullshit, I ended up meeting a girl and dating for a few years. I was still watching anime, still playing games, still shrimpy. I was nice though, and I stopped being embarrassed about my hobbies.

Haha. I'm quite the opposite. The older I got, the more I cherished my hometown thats slightly bigger than Hanau.
My neighbourtown luckily got a good university, so I'll only have commute like 15-20 minutes via train each day.
How did you like Frankfurt? Was there only once and it was a huge contrast seeing the financial sector the town is known for and parts of the city that weren't so nice due the rising drug trafficking there :/

Yeah, but I think that that self-loathing, lack of confidence & not being able to cope with rejection by women at least partly stems from a certain normative ideal, perpetuated by other men & society at large, of what men are supposed to be, what is socially acceptable, what behavior leads to success etc. This ideal affects all men & boys in society. Some of them, through various reasons (education, economic status, social circles...) become assholes or not. And some of them land at sites like 4chan.
These are very complex & age old issues though, obviously, and much has been studied about them. That's just my relatively uninformed & general take on them.
