By Kidjr Go To PostNo way you guys are asking your dates to split the bill. I mean sometimes she gets you yeah but you should definitely be getting her more than she gets you. I don't many females where that isn't a mood killer, it's not even about the money, I just think it shows courtship.
it's not the 60s anymore dude.
women i dated would be insulted if I always paid.

I was about to say she wasn't wrong.
It's just part of the dating culture.
Now I am married and pay for almost everything. That's was an investment that worked out for my wife.
I'll pay on the first date, it's on her to make the gesture on the second one and we'll go from there.
Every girl I've dated rotates with me. If we're in an actual relationship, we stop 'keeping count' but still rotate regularly
the only way i would pay most of the time is if i dated someone who is still at uni or doing some further education and i would pay so we can go eat good stuff not shitty cheap food lol.

A first date makes sense because usually it’s the guy asking her out. Second date though? If she doesn’t offer to split the bill it’s a strike. Asking to split the bill is obviously a mood killer, for everyone.

Kidjr: "what do you mean you guys don't get them a Cartier bracelet on date 3 and a Gucci bag on date 7?"

Loooool you guys know I wasn't always rich.
Even when I was in school, I always thought that you take the woman out in courtship.
But def seems to be a way I was raised.
Does this mean you guys don't make her walk on the inside of the pavement?

I was raised like that too but bruv modern women require modern solutions.
Cooking at someone's place underrated especially in this economy where even a mid restaurant wants upwards of 15-20 bucks for a sad entree.
This is so interesting to learn, I really thought who pays on the first date was Internet satire.
Do you guys broach this pre date? Or does the bill arrive and you be like let's split it?

I think almost everyone said it's cool for dudes to pay on the first date. If you're continuing to date then you should be splitting duties sooner than later.
You said you pay for the first TEN dates and that's wild.
In cities like NYC or SF or LA that might mean $150+ maybe $300-400 a date depending on drinks. I imagine London is just as expensive.

There are cheap options for dates that many people don't utilize enough though that's for sure. And if she ain't into something other than restaurant/bar than fuck it, she's boring anyway.

I'm getting to know the woman long before we go out to eat, it's 2023 my g a lot of women are just going out for a free meal with no intentions of actually developing anything, especially in NY.

Fair, I guess dates don't always have to be expensive imo. But I respect the stance.

haha i was actually thinking about this last night on a date, because we have a thriving homeless population here, so i think it's safer for her to walk by the curb rather than the tent cities. better yet, we try to avoid those blocks, but it's not always possible.
the date last night went well, it was with the woman who basically kicked off this entire conversation hahaha. she's been hitting me up asking things like "have you gone on your walk tonight yet?" and "what are you up to today?" so i finally took the bait and we got a drink and played some pool. mostly talked for like 5 hours. and she bought me a drink. she sucks at pool though smh
