An awesome Fantasy football team can only be maintained by tireless efforts which are ultimately totally futile… but it never hurts to ask for advice.
Note: I'm sure you guys know this, but the more information you can provide in your question (amount of teams, scoring system, keeper rules, opposing lineup, full player names, opponents said player is facing, etc.), the easier it will be to answer and usually the better the answers are.

Psyched to get this started. Looking for WW pickups for WR this week. Anyone think Stills is a decent short term pickup? I'm still trying to fill the hole ODB left behind.
Stills to me is much better because Matt Moore is the QB... and much better. I can't state how effing BAD Cutler was... Moore has shown he can be much more efficient and spreads it around to guys like Stills. Now DeVante Parker may play this week but I dunno what better option there is at WR than Stills.
Longterm you want a bite outta Josh Doctson. Terrelle Pryor has been a massive bust and Doctson took his jerb as the new X receiver in Washington.

I'm currently running DHop and either Marvin Jones or DJackson. as my WRs Just looking for someone else who might be a decent impact player going forward. I'm not sure if Stills is the guy though. I have an open spot on my bench so I might stash him just in case.
I would say Stills is a great option this week if Parker is out. But it's a hell of a risk because DVP might play, and when healthy he will always be getting time over Stills.
Doctson is a great add. So is Golladay. Corey Davis or that Jags guy with no NFL xp if you can wait.

Was able to grab Latavious Murray off waivers this week. Think he's worth the start? Need to fill rb2 and flex.
WR - Doug Baldwin
WR - Keenan Allen
RB - Jay Ajayi
RB
FLEX
Buck Allen, Will Fuller, Nelson Agholor, L. Murray
I'm leaning Murray and Fuller. Thoughts? Stills, Doctson, and Golladay are all available in my league too if you think those would be better flex plays.

Fuller V at Seattle is prime for massive regression. I wouldn't risk it
Murray @ Cleveland is a solid Flex due to his workload and the fact he's getting healthier, can possibly become an lower end RB2 in the future.
Agholor played Monday Night, and so did Doctson.
Future? I'd go Doctson >>> Golladay > Stills.
Yeah i'm PPR so I decided to put Buck in the flex, Murray as RB2 and picked up Doctson (dropped Crowell). I'd need to win out the rest of the season to maybe make the playoffs but who knows, anything can happen!
Bears acquired WR Dontrelle Inman from the Chargers in exchange for a conditional 2018 seventh-round pick.Could be worth WR2 value down the line as only legit WR the Bears have.
Inman has played just 39 snaps this season as the Bolts' No. 4/5 receiver. This was a trade that made complete sense for both sides; the Bears badly need receiver help, and the Chargers had no use for Inman in the final year of his contract. Inman has been productive when given opportunities in the past. Last season, he caught 58 balls for 810 yards and four scores. Inman has good size at 6'3/205 and has averaged 13.7 yards per catch. The 28-year-old should contribute immediately in an offense that has been starting Tanner Gentry and Tre McBride.

Also the Bryant saga is amazing... I wonder if he eventuality gets traded.
The understanding was that if he lost here, he would probably lose on appeal also. This is why NY court was huge. That's why some people expected that the NY court would rule in favor of NFL, this is why:
Again, judge is known for going by precedent (Brady) and letter of CBA law. NFLPA agreed to the deal to give Goddell broad powers. In other words, "it's in the CBA so y'all fucked yourselves"
OH. FUCK.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Texans fear Deshaun Watson suffered a torn ACL in Thursday's practice.
If you're in disbelief, so are we. Just stunning, awful news. Per Rapsheet, it was a non-contact injury. Watson is undergoing an MRI to confirm the news. Perhaps we'll get a miracle, but Watson can safely be considered out for Week 9, meaning Tom Savage will be under center for the Texans in what would have been a dream matchup for Watson against the Colts. It's an across the board downgrade for the Texans, with DeAndre Hopkins falling to low-end WR1 status, Will Fuller boom-or-bust WR and Lamar Miller RB1/2 borderline.
(glances at his SLAENT league opponent for the week)
(sees Deshaun Watson's owner - 6-2 The Autumn Win - staring down a decision between starting C.J. Beathard or Tom Savage at QB)
(watches league leader Minx88 capitalize on yet another trade opportunity by offering Josh McCown for Tyler Lockett)
(takes another swig of his drink)

I'm fixing the situation but The Autumn Win still agreed to it even though the owner is getting booted and the rosters fixed.
I need a replacement owner for my Fantasy football League. Details here
Can I ask for advice here? Can't decide between Alex Smith and Russell Wilson. Smith has been solid all season, but Wilson stepped it up to the tune of 50 points last week. Otoh, the cowboys defense is porous, and the Redskins have a good secondary? I'm leaning towards Smith rn, but I just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Start Russell with confidence, no running game and hot WRs now. Alex Smith is starting to regress a bit.
There was an excerpt in the Yahoo Booms and Busts column this week that I think every Fantasy player should read and live by:
When I make my fantasy decisions, I am focused on what I think will give me the best chance to reach my ultimate goals. I’m not worried about kissing the ring of a name player, nor am I worried about doing something that could look absurd in retrospect. The idea is not to play for Friendliest Loss — not to make your choices based on what you think will limit potential regret. Just pick whatever path you determine to be +EV at the time. Play to win; don’t play petrified to make a mistake.
Blaine Gabbert smashed his DFS value in Week 11. Keenan Allen had his first monster game of the year. Samaje Perine looked like an NFL-quality back for the first time in three months. They all had pro and con cases prior to kickoff. You can’t let fear of being wrong steer you away from what you think is right. Make the best decisions you can make at the time.
