incredible. star citizen right? No wonder people pay real life thousands for those ships. Very impressive models.
are the environments procedurally generated?
They are, certainly the ginormous planets and moons, but the tools allow for a lot developer input and it's all done according to the lore. Same goes for space stations and random outposts. The main locations on planets and in space are mostly hand crafted. All in all I'd say it's a healthy mix. There's no way around it when you're trying to simulate an entire universe. Even so it's taken them this long to complete one star system.
Yeah, the detail on the ships is insane, no matter the size. That above is the P-52 Merlin, which is one of the smallest ships in the game.
It's a snub fighter that you'll usually find docked inside a Constellation or some other medium-sized ship. Ship chart for comparison, open in tab for full size. Merlin is on the far right, top half.

it's going to be the best game ever
anyway some hitman 2, to make up my mind if i want hitman 3. Some things looks dated, but overall a good looking game

By /sy Go To Postnow we're talkin'
The levels are more detailed and so on due to it being several smaller levels, rather than open world. But the lightning and shadows of cyberpunk is still levels above it. Looks really good either though.
gonna have to get Hitman 3 when they're clear about transferring my Hitman 1 and 2 levels from Steam
Dang that game looks pretty in stills. best SSR I've ever seen(+ Mafia remake). Hope IO buffs their animation staff for their next games.
^ What's the render resolution of these? That last image at full size is not what you'd expect to see from regular upscaling. That dithering :|
By Bungie Go To PostAnd then upscaled to 3840 x 2160 (the image resolution)?I guess so yeah. Not really sure how any of this stuff works lol

Something weird is going on I think. Apparently the render resolution on PS5 for that game is the same resolution as PS4 Pro (2560 x 1440) but the result is not what you'd expect to see.
How do you not support ultrawide in an UE4 game in 2021. Literally took a random guy half an hour to fix it. Maybe that's how. Anyway, I'm gonna try to take more interesting screenshots as I progress, gonna be playing it at night, as the nightmare gods command.
By Bungie Go To PostI'm guessing the fix is UUU?I think the patch I found just shuffles some .exe hex values around.

Nice. The reason I mentioned UUU is because I've been using it for screenshots in Unreal 4 games, and I think it has functionality for that sort of thing (custom resolutions, aspect ratios, etc...)
By Zabojnik Go To Postif you think THIS is impressive oh bb
