• Limits: 3 screenshots per post. If you have more than 3, make more posts or use thumbnails.
• Spamming: No more than 2 consecutive posts of the same game. Link to an album of your collection.
• Naming: Always include the name of the game with the screenshots. In case you downsample, report the resolution which you downsampled from.
• Compression: If it's visible you will be called out. Follow the JPEG guide below.
• Emulators: Emulator screens are fine. However, you should list the emulator used.
• Stretching: Do not post stretched screenshots. Do not take 2.35 screens unless you know what you are doing.
• Spoilers: Please do not post major plot points from games released in the last 2 months.
• Thinking: Think before you post. Is the screenshot really worth posting? Does anyone care about some ugly texture you found? No.
• Feelings: Did someone hurt your feelings? PM a mod. Take your drama elsewhere.
• Size: Be a good sport and DO NOT post full size 8-16K+ PNGs, some have limited data plans.
• CSS Image size tweak for Opera/Chrome users: First and foremost, a small edit to this site for a much better screenshot browsing experience.
• Custom Resolutions: If you have an Nvidia or an AMD card, create a couple custom resolutions over 1080p, preferably 2160p.
• Steam: You can tell Steam to take lossless screens and output them to a custom location when hitting the screenshot button.
• FastStone: It's free and quite easy. You can resize a whole folder with different options and convert to .png/.jpeg.
• Irfanview/Photoshop: Use one of these to convert to .png from .bmp, crop out black bars or resize pictures.
• Zoner PS: Another Photoshop alternative, recommended by Angelus Errare.
• Flickr: Two terabytes of storage and great for screenshot library management.
• Picpar: Brought to you by none other than X3sphere, a simple and efficient image host.
• Abload: Easy to use, doesn't compress jpegs further, auto-converts bmps to png nicely.

Love the atmosphere in those DS3 shots but please keep it max 3 shots per post & 2 consecutive posts of the same game to keep things "clean".

Truly a beautiful looking game. Running it on the highest settings at 1080p (1.5x super sampling).
Pretty fun gameplay too, not amazing but serviceable.

Nice of you to set this up for us GroinShooter, but even nicer to see some familiar faces around here. Now if we could only make the images bigger, that be really something...

Visually doesn't hold a candle to Forza, but it's damn fun. Might drop some 1440p/4K downsampled screens soon but I rarely bother with playing at a higher resolution than 1080p

Forum will have some getting used to, but it's a start 8) Thanks GroinShooter for starting the thread over here. It's to be seen where we all end up, I think, but for the time being we can start here. I'm not that fond of the resetera mess either due to the fact old mods everyone hated run the show there too, but as that site still isn't live I also have doubts it will ever materialize. I mean, how hard is it to install phpBB in this day of VMs and cloud offerings.

TW3
I guess this forum will do for the moment. Though as Jim mentioned, it'd be nice to have bigger images.
Also if anyone hasn't fired up The Witcher 3 in a bit, there's a good deal of recent, new mods (and updates to old ones) that are really worth checking out. Here's a few I'm currently using.
Real Lighting Beta
Thought it currently only applies to just most of Velen, I think it's the best lighting mod for that region - especially at night time. [ex.]
(With ReShade - but it's rather subtle.)
Beautiful Rocks Mod
This might not seem like a big deal at a glance, but this mod actually makes a massive difference. These rocks are used all over the game, and they look magnificent with this mod - not to mention they blend in seamlessly with vanilla assets.
Beautiful Grass Mod
From the same author as Beautiful Rocks Mod, the grass mod changes a huge amount of the vegetation in the game (Toussaint is currently untouched, though the developer seems enthusiastic about improving and iterating on the mod).
The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project
I'm sure just about everyone's familiar with this mod (most endorsed TW3 mod on Nexus), but it got a pretty sizeable update some time ago that significantly improves the quality of the bodies of water in the game from puddles to lakes and rivers. It's a treat if you're a fan of SSR.
Geralt E3 2014
I'm not currently using this one, but I thought I'd throw this in here as well. The mod changes Geralt's look about as close to the model used in the pre-release gameplay demo(s) from 2014. It looks great (better than the shipping model), but supposedly doesn't currently work perfectly if you're using hairworks (which, from what I've gathered, not everyone's a fan of).

If you're using a CSS extension (stylebot for Chrome, for example), you can make a small edit to this site for a much better screenshot browsing experience.
You can go wider if you want. It will auto-resize if you have a smaller window, too. For my work computer, the thread is now full-width.

That's amazing. I was able to get Stylebot working in Opera through Chrome Extension Plugin, so people using Opera should get this working just as easily.
This is a great tweak, 124 seems to be the sweet spot for a 1080p monitor and Opera UI. Everyone on this thread should try this out. I'll put it in the OP with a lil' tutorial. Thanks for the heads up :D
Great that we are picking up more steam here. Lets keep this momentum going.

Thanks for the heads up! Especially the rocks/grass mods look amazing. Will definitely check them out when the inevitable lull in games to shoot makes its appearance.

Can't wait for AC Origins, photomode seems to be pretty limited, hopefully I can find a good timestop and time of day. Especially timestop is always a mess in Anvil Next, but perhaps this time with their own photomode there's a proper one implemented ;)
Man I need to start playing some games again after buying a 1080ti. But all I play is CS and FM.
So take these Silent Hill 2 screenshots instead. 16 years old... Christ.

Maybe the second one is something for you.

Yeah and I kind of got stuck fairly early on in it. Something just didn't do it for me, with the first one. But I think the new one looks kind of improved and been thinking of getting it.

"New registrations are currently not being accepted."
Ok, then. I must say I'm soooo tired of all these little dramaqueens who want their own little site and don't want others to join the party. With NeoGAF I joined because of the screenshot thread and had to wait months before some pimpeled dork in a dormroom found it OK to 'accept my registration', and this 'ResetEra' site wants to do things better, but has decided to inherit at least one thing from their ancestor site: the insanely stupid registration process. People now have to suck up to Besada and other lamers on some IRC channel to get a 'code' to enter a website? What is this, highschool?
No visitors==no community, stupids.
I'll stay here. If this bleeds out because everyone jumps ship again to yet another site, then that's it and I'll just stay on flickr.
I am really not interested in ResetEra. I feel it will be even more heavily moderated than GAF. And I'd rather not get into arguments (and get banned) if I post something they might have a problem with (not that I post anything NSFW, but I am pretty sure they will find something "problematic"). I like it here so far... and like OtisInf, I'll just stick to Flickr if things don't work out here.
