There's also the bit where the woman in question only posted it because of the #metoo movement and didn't actually expect anything to happen. Not to mention that post to the mods was insane.

I'm good! Been over in kuwait for the last few years but I'll be getting the hell out of here next summer and moving elsewhere. Still doing your thing in Japan?

I feel like if he had come out and opened a thread, and calmly explained how things happened, how they went wrong (just facts, no embellishing), and giving his point of view rationally, that could have gone a long way to keep the trust of the community in him.

Of course if he had started that thread off with either the statement he posted openly, or the one he did give his Mods, then he would have been crucified, and rightfully so.

Although I do wonder; If he admitted having walked into the shower to the girl without invitation, naked and all, could he have been persecuted?
Could he still be?
That alone might be reason enough why he denies all wrong doings.
