Good evening. I'll start by admitting I came here only to try and figure out what was going on with this ResetEra thing. It sounds promising, I don't think GAF is for me anymore, and I have all the necessary things like a paid email. However I am brand new to Discord. I will PM one of the mods as you suggested and look for instructions if I make it into the discord community.

I like the logo but the color needs to change. It's too much like the Twitch logo.

Aside from John Rabbit here on Slaent, our point people in the Discord group have also said that paid emails are required. I can't speak to anything beyond that, but I haven't heard anything to the contrary.

The admins said in an announcement they were aware of the obsolete email problem and were working on a solution.

Yeah, you need to get "verified" on one of the Discord channels, then they'll give out codes there. There's a channel for SLAENT GAF. Eventually they'll open it up with "official" domains.
Reading this thread makes me really excited. :) GAF was the only gaming community I ever felt at home at and this feels almost like a Phoenix that's rising from the Ashes.^^
Posting for new page: getting verified is how you obtain a code.
By Jacob Go To PostIf you are not already in another GAF community Discord, you can PM JershJopstin, Knuckle Sandwich, or skittzo0431 here on Slaent for an invite to our Discord group where you will find instructions for how to verify your account, which you can do even if you are banned from GAF.
The ResetEra admins will be sending out access codes to each Discord community. This will allow you to register during the initial period; however, registration will open up eventually.
You will need a paid (or university) email to join, same as GAF. It does not have to be the same email you used for GAF; there's no way for the ResetEra mods to check this anyway.

Site looks nice and clean but we will see how it handles actual content. Right now the member count is ridiculously low, however I'll be most interested in just how many people will move yet again. I feel like a lot of people will be out off by the need to move again plus paid emails, which is understandable but at the same time this site has been able to handle the mass influx perfectly fine.
Almost kind of feels like they are trying to protect themselves from some 4chan boogie man when it really is just a forum.

I love how it looks. Going to make sure to post on both sites because SLAENT has been amazing for us.
