I hope this is going to be good but really the only positive we can strive for is Tom Hardy, who has honestly been good in everything I have seen him in.

Riz Ahmed and Michelle Williams are both pretty solid as well.

If they make it like Nolan made the Dark Knight movies, or like Logan just this year, separate and exiled as its own little thing, then it could become fantastic. I would be more afraid if they connect it to any "universe" though.

It all points up ‘what is the nature of acting?’ and there is no difference between acting wearing a costume and make up, or wearing a motion capture suit. I'm fine with that. If they want to do Venom right, they need to make him more like the hulking monster he is in the comics and other media; and not like Topher Grace in latex from Spiderman 3.
