Oh man, feels good to see some familiar faces in here.
So which model of Genesis/MD do you all use?
I used to use my Model 1 High def Genny, but lately I've been using my Sega CDX, so I can play a Sega CD game every now and then.
Even though, I think my laser may be burning out soon :/

Right now I have a model 2 hooked up with a model 2 CD. It fights right on top of the tower i have all my stuff hooked up on. Model 1 is put up right now and is the one from my childhood.
Sucks on the laser. Wish I would have bought a CDX a decade ago when I was buying Genesis lots. Have another model2 CD, but the fuse blew and I have changed it out yet. Been meaning to for about ten years now...

I've got a Japanese MD1 with a 60Hz and Pal/Japan switch and 2 Pal Mega Drive model 2's, one of which is still in it's box and never been used. :)
Got a Mega CD2 as well as a 32X and a Powerbase Converter.
Still prefer the original Mega Drive and it has the bonus of being able to get Stereo sound out of it with a modded RGB cable with audio input.
First time I heard about this game which is weird as I'm really into little known Japanese games...
Looks really great. Sadly my Japanese is limited to Katakana and reading Hiragana and a couple of hundred Kanji but needing to look up most of it.
My French is a little better, but I'd still struggle with the game, I'm sure.

By AliasGreed Go To PostIs there a English patch for Surging Aura ? That's an obscure game not many people know about that you can add to the list. It's the one Sega Genesis RPG I've wanted to play. I pretty much already played all the English ones. The only translation patches I can find are a French and a Russian one. Seems like an English one was started years ago, but never completed.
I know I can google it but I can't at this moment since I'm at work.

I prefer the Model 1 in like every aspect to the Model 2, except for the size. That 2-3" just makes the system hang off the edge enough of where I have it to annoy me. But that white reset button and the red around the cartridge slot look good, the volume slider looks "clasic", the headphone jack is nice and it's got curves in all the right places.
