Watching episode 2. Did Winona Ryder get plastic surgery or did she just age gracefully? Goddamn she looks better as she did in "Heathers" back in the day.
By Laboured Go To PostPretty sure she has.Yeah when I first saw her I was confused and pleased.
Just finished it...
I thought it was great. There was one episode (everyone who has seen the season knows what episode) that was so disconnected it was a bit off putting.. I understand the purpose of the episode but it was done so clumsily that I can see how it would upset people.
Also chiming in on the Lucas / Billy thing.. I am kind of trying to figure if he is racist.. I feel that he would had been more rabid if he was.. but kind of seems like he was just a douchebag because of his father and would had been a dick to any of the boys if Max was hanging with them 1 on 1 like Lucas was.. /shrug

By blackace Go To PostJust finished it…Yeah I felt the same way about that episode but I guess if you view it as "chapters" in a book than episodes it makes more sense.

Like how they wrapped everything up nicely at the end even though old boy caught at body at the Gov Facility, really seen that coming...why you don't stop running until you reach the car!

I get the feeling he gets those thoughts from his old man.
Also, the opening to S2 with 008 felt like an opening to Heroes instead of Stranger Things.

It would be funny if they went for big city Cali kid bringing racism to Indiana angle lol

I really thought they were going to go all out on Billy and his dad being Lost Boys-esque vampires to set up the next season.
I thought all the stuff about Billy saying Max isn't his sister would be a reference to that.

But your idea would had been awesome
Finished it finally
1st season was better I think, but this season was sensational. Really good work by Eleven (although we need to see her in another role) and Will

Just finished it. I liked it. Thought it was a little weaker than season one but still pretty good.
King Steve is too good for Nancy.

Billy did give Steve a helpful basketball tip when he told him to plant his feet tbh

By recon_zero Go To PostLittle sister is the goatThere is only one GOAT, and it is clearly Bob. #OneOfUs
Finished it earlier. Weaker than S1, but still very enjoyable. S3 should be the final season.
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostYeah, I think Billy's racist.Billy is going to smash Mike's mom next season
And closet gay.
By reilo Go To PostTV basketball scenes are usually terrible but the one in episode 3 is especially bad lmaoThat layup was 🔥🔥🔥
Thought the second season was really good—particularly Eleven—but overall, plot elements felt a little too Scooby-Doo for me in terms of how they were resolved.
"How do we tackle ______ problem!"
"Jinkees! Let's conveniently try ______ as a solution!"
Also, the third-party metaphorical explanations were so, so, so heavy-handed.
Lastly, why was Will's ability to see the Upside Down never mentioned? Is he some kind of daywalker like Blade?

I love how the kids give everything an RPG name - they said will had True Sight.
I've managed to squeak in three episodes. Digging it so far. Loved how they showed up to class in full ghost busters gear all by themselves haha
Really liked Mad Max and Bob.
Mike and Eleven are the only tv relationship I don't feel cringe-worthy. Something so nice about them.
Eleven is fucking great

By HasphatsAnts Go To PostVery bummed out that Mike was such a jerk this season.Well Lucas was that last season...
By blackace Go To PostWell Lucas was that last season…Yeah but how much of this was because Mike's actor also had to make It during season 2 filming?
Just finished it hoping that this season would be better than the first...I probably should have stopped watching a long time ago. I just don't find the show that interesting or compelling. Oh well.
It might not be for everyone but damn I am a huge fan... it might help that I'm a 80s kid I don't know

That's the thing, I'm an 80s kid too, and all the references to that time period (including the intro) are awesome. So I guess it would be more accurate to say that I liked the feel of the show more than the story that the show was trying to tell. The plot just wasn't very strong, imo.
At any rate, I'm glad that Netflix has made something that strikes a chord with so many people! This is a huge franchise for the company and will probably serve them well for years to come.

I am too and I just find a lot of it shoe-horned and fan-service-y. I don't mind the production design which does really look very authentically 80s but it goes hard over the top with it especially with various media references.
Felt like they put more effort into that than the story.

My sentiments exactly.
