Cdkeys has it for £43 I think. £50 everywhere else (F that noise).
I'm waiting for it to drop below £40, though I'm tempted to get an m.2 drive just to get the game with it for "free".
Picked up a copy today on PS4. Haven't played an AC game in years (3 was my last I think) but this one's fun so far. Cool main character, nice sights and like the more RPG like structure. If it holds up for the rest of the game I'm happy. Have to say by the way, a PS4 pro would be nice for this. Definitely notice some frame rate issues and stutter here and there. Luckily not too annoying.

This lol, the loot they drop is fantastic as well.
Finished it, I loved it. The world they designed is awe inspiring, love the story and the main characters especially Bayek, the sidequests where much better than I expected and the combat which seems to have gotten a mixed reaction from what I have seen I also enjoyed.
Although I do have a slight concern that considering this was made by the Black Flag team that the sequel won't be as good, but for now this one was great.

I'm 33 hours in and they are still large swatchs of the map I haven't been to yet. Can you tell me how much of the main quest is left? I'm at the part where the Crocodile has the little girl, shadya killed.

40-50 hours but I still have some side quests and places to explore.
I would guess it took me around another 10 hours after killing the Crocodile but will obviously depend how much you deviate from the main quest during that time

Damn, game runs like crap on my system. Ryzen 1600/16GB 3200mhz DDR4/R9 290x and I have to put the settings on potato medium to get even 40fps. Just bought destiny 2 the other week there and it looks great and is rock solid 60fps. Still, hopefully the gameplay will make up for it.
Level 28 and doing "The Crocodile" main quest. Mostly been using sword and two handed weapons and recently swapped the sword with upgraded Legendary Dual Swords. Just WOW. Fast, efficient and unforrgiving hahaha. I'm making faces in my living room and screaming "OHHHH!!!" at some of the kill animations.

I'm glad these aren't drawn out like Horizon or TW3 where you investigate then follow some horse shit scent then more investigation. The ones in ACO are usually confined to a single room.

Ah well.
Egypt is fun to run around anyway. Combat is okay, not the best ever, not the worst. It's serviceable. Kinda wish they went with more of a quick and violent combat system where you and enemies both die to 3 or so direct strikes, instead stab-sponge enemies.

On the plus side, capping the game to 60FPS with Rivatuner has worked flawlessly. The in game FPS cap was really janky for me, but RTSS has it locked perfectly.
No stuttering or noticeable frame drops and perfect frame pacing. Really good PC port in my opinion.

Finish the main story about 46 hours in. Still got a bajillion question stuff to do and I haven't even discovered all the map yet LOL.

Sounds like you are similar to me, I had loads of unexplored areas and some sidequests. I'll eventually go back to it after finishing off other games I keep neglecting.
As for the ending.
I kind of agree, I found it to be too abrupt tbh. I don't hate the direction it took in terms of the seemingly obvious sequel, but from the Cleopatra betrayal to the actual ending felt too sudden to me.

Bit lame that the Trial of the Gods stuff is timed
Probably won't do any of them since they're recommended level 40, and I'm like level 18.

I tried my best to grind to 40 in time to try the Anubis fight and I only got up to 23. Feels bad. Not gonna make it within the next 40 or so hours, especially with work in the way.
I gave up as soon as I realised it was recommended 40. Playing the game at my own pace, trying to keep fast travel to a minimum. Only real way of grinding seems to be rushing through side missions, haven't seen anything else that gives you significant XP. Curious to see what the skill tree will look like when I'm done, get the feeling I'lll have done everything well before it's completed given how many of the abilities cost 2 or 3 points.

To be fair, my way of grinding through levels was just pouring time into the game. Had the week off and not much else to do.
Side quests seem a bit shite for leveling. I seem to get the most out of just body bagging every guard that looks at me funny. Which is fine by me, clearing out the camps and taking on Phylake's has been the most fun part of the game for me.
