By Sirmoogle Go To PostGreat OT, really looking forward to this and the post launch support definitely helps. Thanks!
Yeah, I’m glad to see they’re adding a lot of free stuff to the game after release. I’m sure there’ll be plenty to do as-is, but their smaller DLC attempts in the past didn’t do much for me. Hopefully this stuff is worthwhile— the Trials of the Gods stuff looks very interesting at least.
Really looking forward to this, love the changes they made and the massive Witcher 3 inspirations it seems to have. Incredibly confident it's going to be great.
I'll probably pick this up on my X when I get that....I have over 15 monster caps saved due to co-workers
Origins seems pretty low key as far as general hype level but I have a feeling it's going to surprise people. An open world RPG in ancient Egypt with the scale of AssCreed and Ubisoft budget+talent just seems like a good project.
By EricOfSeattle Go To PostHaven’t played an AC game since the last Ezio one. Is this a good one to jump back in on?
I think so yeah. They have revamped the combat, taken a lot of inspiration from open world RPGs when it comes skill trees, having a more interesting world and mission design etc etc. ( no more mission immediately failing if you leave the area for example)
I would wait for reviews to be sure if it's for you, but i feel like most signs are indicating it's moving in a positive direction.

Thanks...The setting on this one piqued my interest. I’ll probably end up getting after I finish Odyssey.
This is gonna low key be a dope game . People will sleep on it because of the name, but I feel like that time off will really help here.

Whaa.. I thought we'll be getting them days before release day. Oh well..
I'm ready to pre-order on Steam. Will do so as soon as the pre-load is up.
Ubisoft always opens the embargo 24-48 hours before the initial release date.
It was the case with Watch Dogs 2 as well.

If anyone is getting it on psn, there's a 10% pre order on the deluxe edition it's like £1.69 more expensive than standard and you get a extra mission and some skill points and the cobra pack. Not much extra stuff but £1.69 extra ain't bad.

One of the main reasons why I bought the deluxe edition. That extra €2,00,- was worth it for me.
By Starch Contrast Go To PostGoing back and forth between Mario and this is gonna make my free time in November well spent
Yeah, getting them both on Friday, what to play first!?
I'll be interested in the reviews, to see what the overall opinion is.
Honestly, after the E3 footage and a few trailers I don't know how to feel about the game.

I’ll start Origins first and every time I need to visit the bathroom I’ll take Mario with me 😃
It’s been a while since I’ve been this hyped for an AC game. Loved Black Flag, found Unity boring and loved Syndicate’s setting and characters but by then franchise fatigue had kicked in. I really should go back to finish that at some point.
Anyway, the year off, massive open world and Egyptian setting have got me excited for this one. Picking this and Mario up on Friday.

I'm really looking forward to the game, especially to the new difficulties and the souls-like combat.
Egypt, new combat system, loot, level based fortresses, elite (tougher) enemies.
I find it hard to believe that this will not be the change the franchise desperately needed.

Really excited for this game. Just debating to play starting Friday or wait until the Xbox X comes out.
Decisions, Decisions......

All true, but I'd like to add one more thing: hopefully an interesting modern day part. At least I enjoyed the AC1/AC2 modern day stuff.
I'm not sure if this is the same for the US, but the EU Uplay store offers 20% off orders if you have 100 or more Uplay points. This brings the cost of the PS4/XB1 Gold Edition of AC:O to £55.99 in the UK (or Deluxe to £43.99, but that's currently sold out on the UK store). Since I had a bit of PayPal credit I decided to go for it, considering the season pass is ~33 quid on its own.

I wound up going with Green Man Gaming since I’ve already used that coupon in the past though. They have it for 5% off, but if you qualify for their VIP deals, they have a coupon for an extra 10% off at the moment. It made the Gold Edition $85.49 for me, which seems like a decent alternative. The Ubisoft Club coupon is definitely the best one for anyone who can still get it though.

I'm sure I've used the 20% off in the past, but I figured each time you earned 100 points you could generate a new code.

If anyone is interested and hasn't seen it Best Buy is offering ten dollars credit if you pre-order I don't know if it's only with GCU though.

EDIT: I’m stupid and didn’t read all of your comment, sorry.
Can’t wait to play, it’s gonna be during the holiday sales which sucks but the price will be great.
Anyone know if CrossingEden made it over?

Excited for it to come out - hope to hear good things about it from everyone!
Positive reviews will likely factor into how long I wait to grab it.

Nvidia released new 388.00 AC Origins and Destiny 2 Game Ready drivers. Just in case somebody else is going to play this on PC (and a nvidia gpu).
I have never been this excited for a game in a while. I love the more RPG approach Ubisoft have taken with this AC.
Been out of the AC games for a while, is there still a modern day story that runs along side Bayek's story?
By EricOfSeattle Go To PostBeen out of the AC games for a while, is there still a modern day story that runs along side Bayek's story?Yup, there are screens floating around if your interested.
I’m really interested in this and have it preordered, but man, Friday is going to be overwhelming.
I’m a bit wary of how it will run on my non-Pro PS4 tbh.

There's going to be one yes, although they have been very secretive about it so we know little to nothing about it.
Haven't played an AC game in a long while so I really haven't kept of with this game at all especially with Mario on the same day. Yet I watched the launch trailer and down the rabbit hole I went... video after video. The post-launch support trailer has me so hype. Friday is gonna be nuts and I can't wait.
By EricOfSeattle Go To PostBeen out of the AC games for a while, is there still a modern day story that runs along side Bayek's story?Yup. Ubisoft hasn’t officially said what exactly it is this time other than that it exists.
By Palette Swap Go To PostI’m really interested in this and have it preordered, but man, Friday is going to be overwhelming. There are some videos of the game running on the vanilla PS4. Seems to perform fine for the most part.
