By Alcotholic Go To PostI'm going with Penny as well. I was disappointed to find out that some of the characters I wanted to date weren't available.
Like whom?
Is it sad that I haven't even gotten to playing this yet on Switch because of god damn Zelda. I only put 10 hours into the PC version and barely touched much if anything in that so the Switch version is going to feel so new to me. If I get to it. Ever...
Amazing time sink for this game. I was only going to play for an hour yesterday and ended up stuck playing for 4 hours. My god.
By MrPhiliasfrog Go To PostLike whom?Jodi was the first one. After looking her up just now I just found out Alex was her husband. I guess that makes sense. I thought they were just some college students or something.

Ah! To be honest, when I explore the town and met Jodie, Marnie and Caroline, I really thought it was possible to build a relationship with them.

Theyre so good. I feel connected to penny and Abigail at the moment! Hoping my character can marry penny though. Can't stand Shane. What a nob.
I totally understand your criticisms about the villagers. For me, they are ok. I wanna see if some people will change after building my relationships with them though.
By Alcotholic Go To PostYeah, villagers are my only major gripe with the game. I don't feel any particular connection to them. They feel like blobs. That's my only major gripe as well. It's probably an unfair comparison, but they feel incredibly shallow and lacking when put up against your neighbors from Animal Crossing. Luckily the gameplay's depth in Stardew is almost entirely in the farm sim aspect, and I absolutely adore that part of it.
Yeah I understand the critique on the villagers, for example I completely forgot that Caroline even existed for the first few seasons.
I finished year 1. By the middle of winter I started sleeping as soon as my animals were taken care of. I would have random days of fishing and whatnot, but it just wasn't satisfying. I did get a bigger house though.
When spring rolled around I hopped right out and spent the whole day farming. I got over 100 squares of plants growing and I'm excited to see it all flourish.

I really did give the fishing a good go though and pretty much smashed upgrading my tools to gold ready for the spring. Got my coop built too so I can grab some chickens.

By Alcotholic Go To PostWhere did you get all the gold for that? Did you buy it?The mines. My god the later levels in the mines gives so much gold. I find gold is easier to get than iron!

By Alcotholic Go To PostWhat floors? In on 70 right now.I think IIRC floor 80 / 90 is pretty much gold galore. I've reached the bottom and getting to the bottom meant I have much gold ore.
How what's the shape of a gold watering can's coverage? Is it just a straight line? I was a little disappointes with Iron can's coverage.

It's 3x3. Really nice.
By Kemal86 Go To PostIt's 3x3. Really nice.Oh man, wish I had that. Now Ill have to wait for summer.
