BP has always been a bit of a goofy character... like wtf is he doing catching muggers in Hell's Kitchen? Run your country
Just bought 7 tickets for the late 2D Imax showing for Infinity war. Only 2 2D IMAX showings are available per day at my local theater with a real imax screen. Surprised I was able to secure every seat smack dab in the center. The early afternoon showing has every middle seat sold out already lol.
I am pretty excited about this movie but at the same time, I'm so nervous about it after how much I disliked Avengers 2
By Kizer Go To PostI am pretty excited about this movie but at the same time, I'm so nervous about it after how much I disliked Avengers 2That’s alright. Joss the hack has nothing to do with this one
By Apollo Go To PostThat’s alright. Joss the hack has nothing to do with this oneThat's true, but still. With so much excitement around it, it would be super easy to fuck it up
By s y Go To Postso no one watched black panther 2?A few people have posted about it in the Film thread. It's good but not great.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostWakanda Forever was fine. Not as good as the first one but given all that happened, they did a decent job.
Angela Bassett was an absolute queen, Riri Williams is a great addition to the MCU and it's a shame Letitia Wright is an idiot in real life because she actually did a good job carrying most of the movie.
Namor was well handled, an interesting approach to the character that works well.
There were some nice surprises but not everything works.
I thought the Everett Ross scenes while having a purpose brought the movie down.
The part where it's revealed that Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine is his ex-wife felt silly to me despite getting a big laugh from the audience.
Speaking of audience, it was the first time in a while that I went to the cinema. People were incredibly silent during the Marvel Studios opening credit scene, simple but powerful.
Quite a few people holding up the tears or even crying in some of the more emotional scenes.
I haven't watched the first Black Panther in a while but I don't remember it having as many slow motion scenes as this one.
Some were good but it started to feel too much, Zack Snyder would be proud.
The mid credit scene was weak, not because it isn't a flashy stinger to set up the next movies but because it felt like such a stupid and predictable way to move things forward.
Overall, good but not great. Need to listen to soundtrack on it's own, there were some good songs but not at the level of the best ones from the first movie.
Ngl, I ended up enjoying parts of Wakanda Forever more than Black Panther 1. Def ended up liking Namor more than Killmonger. He was a straight up more effective antagonist. Coogler's directing was better here.
I'm so glad they didn't fill this shit with a bunch of unnecessary scene breaking jokes. I hope we can get another marvel film that will just let the camera sit and we get actual character moments that breath. Actual moments of quiet without characters interjecting for no fucking reason.
Opinions on Letitia Wright's dumbass real life shit aside, she killed this shit. Her and Angela Bassett were amazing. Gawd damn.
