UPDATE2: There's more. From a post on Xbox Wire from Bill Stillwell:
Starting tomorrow, for the first time, you’ll be able to play three generations of games on one console – a curated list of Original Xbox classics like Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and more will be available across the entire Xbox One family of devices. And when Xbox One X launches on Nov. 7, you can run select Xbox 360 games at higher resolution, 9X the original pixel count, and with expanded color details. Xbox One X Enhanced Xbox 360 games will include favorites like Halo 3 and Fallout 3.
The 13 Original Xbox games releasing tomorrow will look better on the Xbox One family of devices, taking advantage of the power of Xbox One with up to 4X the pixel count on Xbox One and Xbox One S, and up to 16X the pixel count on Xbox One X.
Since these are original games and not remasters, Xbox Live services such as online multiplayer that were available on the original Xbox will not be available. However, offline multiplayer scenarios such as co-op and system-link are supported as they were originally. There will also be no Achievements for Original Xbox games because this functionality was also not originally available.
And to help celebrate the launch of Original Xbox games into the Xbox One Backward Compatibility library, Xbox Game Pass members get access to Xbox Original Ninja Gaiden Black for free as a part of their membership to the game subscription service.
Some pretty cool games in there. I'd love to revisit PoP and Red Faction. KOTOR is always a great game to replay.
By Ukumio Go To PostNever actually got to play KOTOR so I'd love to give it a go.Visually it hasn't aged that well, but it's certainly among the best RPGs out there. Even more when you like Star Wars (just don't expect a connection to the actual movie franchise timeline).

I wanted to play Crimson Skies ages ago but never got the opportunity to get into it. Love to pick that up if the price isn't crazy.
I would love to give Ninja Gaiden Black a go. I only owned the original version back in the day, and never got to finish it.
They need to hurry up and confirm when this is all coming out.

By Ukumio Go To PostLittle bit surprised to not see Halo CE or 2 there, especially at launch titles for Xbox BCWell considering purpose of this to able to play games werent playable on current gen systems and both halo games are available on system.

So weird.. I just had a dream a couple days ago that I can't really remember, but it had a copy of Crimson Skies in it for some reason...
That is a fun list of games that I haven’t seen in a while. Ninja Gaiden Black would be a blast to play again.
I'm still really, really baffled that KOF Neowave and Dead to Rights are on this launch list.
Neowave is awful but DtR has always been a just alright Max Payne clone.
At least Namco confirms support !

Pretty stoked to play Knights of the Old Republic again. Hopefully Disney being on board means we see Republic Commando, too.
Really hoping we see the Mech Assault games make an appearance, too, if only so Microsoft acknowledges they had some pretty rad games on the original Xbox.

By Smokey Go To PostKOTOR and Ninja Gaiden, whew. I'm assuming you'll be able to buy these from XBL store.Ninja Gaiden is already an Xbox Original download on 360. If you bought that, it would transfer the license to Xbox One. But yeah, all these will be available digitally.

Yeah you can already buy a decent chunk of those games.on the 360 marketplace. Licenses carry over.
OG Xbox BC is great. KOTOR being on the list is awesome and gives me hope for Republic Commando without screwed up textures. And also reminds me that I should finally get the English version of the game.
One game I'm kind of hoping for, that I don't think has much of a chance is Pitfall: The Lost Expedition. It was a surprisingly decent game.
Panzer Dragoon Orta would be great, too. Especially since on 360, the PAL version crashed after the third level.

It’s probably a long shot because of licensing issues, but I’d love to see the James Bond games of that era make an appearance. Especially Nightfire
I feel so ashamed I never finished KOTOR. From what I had got through it was arguably one of biowares greatest written stories
By soundscream Go To PostMechassault better be in the next waveMy man. Maybe this can give MechAssault 2 the chance it never got, too, since it came out after they unceremoniously killed the Xbox.

Who even owns the rights now?
By Silky Go To PostWho even owns the rights now?
I don't think anyone owns the game rights anymore. Activision let the deal expire.....so its open, problem is I'm guessing it costs a pretty penny to probably get it.
Have they said what they're going to do about DLC? Like, Knights of the Old Republic had the Yavin Station DLC. Is that something that they'd include in the package that you download?
When games like MechAssault and Halo 2 come to the service, they're basically going to need that DLC since it added so much to those.

Rockstar has supported PS4 PS2 BC well, so I'm sure they'll support this as well. But I think there are licensing issues or something with SA, which is why they put that mobile port up.
I might try The Sands of Time, I never got around to trying the Prince of Persia games. How’d the Xbox version compare to the others back in the day?
Man, the backwards compatibility on Xbox One is almost enough to get me to buy one. Anyone who hasn't played KOTOR before will be in for a treat.
I know I have KOTOR laying around, but I should go try to pick up a cheap copy of KOTOR II just in case.
So the leak is confirmed.
But we're also getting BLACK!

By Silky Go To PostSo the leak is confirmed. And playable tomorrow?! I'm so glad I've always kept my games throughout the years. I never did get to play Ninja Gaiden Black (heresy, I know), but I played the non-black version extensively. I beat it several times and, last I remember, my last playthrough was with one (or the only) DLC pack(s) that came out. I remember a staff being my weapon of choice there. That was easily 11-12 years ago now, when I was in college. Boy, does the time fly!

By Hazzaku Go To PostSo we're getting Ninja Gaiden Black AND Black??? Got damn I need to update my XB1.I never did play Black. I remember it was Criterion's attempt at an FPS and it was pretty action-packed. How well do you think it holds up 10+ years later?
Ninja Gaiden Black lives. Makes me want to buy an Xbox One S just to retire my X360 from my media center.
By DJ Lushious Go To PostI never did play Black. I remember it was Criterion's attempt at an FPS and it was pretty action-packed. How well do you think it holds up 10+ years later? No idea haha. All I remember about it was being able to blow stuff up and everyone yelling "Kellar!!!" (protagonist of the game).
I never had the original Xbox, so this'll be good for me to check out some titles like Ninja Gaiden Black, Crimson Skies, Knights of the Old Republic and Psychonauts. Plus, I'd love to revisit Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.
this is great, I kind of want to buy a Xbox One just because of this, games from ps2/xb/gc era tend to look great in HD
maybe it's weird of me, since the game is available easily on mobile and PC, but KOTOR is the one that grabs my attention the most, the 360 BC was not ideal, it should be much easier with the XB one.
also hopefully this is just a start.
