Its Dynasty Warriors.....meets fire emblem

Mother eff. Just saw this after I responded to your post. Kinda hard to find threads on this site tbh. How far along are you? I just finished the nohr side of the split in story mode.
I'm literally booting this sucker up.....but its opening up in english....im guessing there is no way to switch to the jap dub initially since its considered DLC
not to mention Destiny 2 PC release is this dang tuesday.....man fall releases are just to close to each other
Yeah this and Mario Odyssey within a week is the dumbest thing ever. Gonna try to play as much of this as possible as I'm in Taiwan right now and my flight back is next week. All I'm gonna do is play this during the flight.
I really hope FE fans, after playing this, look into other Musou titles. They really are something great and there's almost always something to find that suits your fancy.
Game is so good, been having a blast playing it, though yes I willingly bought the DLC season pass for it. Tried playing with the JP voices and it was jarring to say the least. Switched back to English and it feels right strangely.

This is right on par with Hyrule Warriors and OPPW 3 with being the best Musou game. Hell, it's probably better than those because the characters here have better movesets
I'm enjoying it, though it's hard to say if I like it more than Hyrule Warriors, the later Gundam Warriors or the Golden State Warriors.
I like the lite-FE order giving mechanic and being able to switch between the characters on the fly.

First post here. I wasn't convinced I was going to like FE Warriors but after playing it on and off since yesterday, I gotta say it has really got a hold on me. The gameplay loop is simple and fun. The game requires more attention than I expected and I really enjoy being able to order the other characters around the map. The story is my only negative thus far.
Are the seals to promote characters limited or can I promote everyone in the end? Kinda torn between with pag knight to promote

I wanna jump on this so bad, but Odyssey releases this coming week, and I just bought Xenoverse 2 two weeks ago. :( I loved Hyrule Warriors, and Samurai Warriors Chronicles for the 3DS launch; got me through the dry spells. I owe it to Koei-Tecmo!

That's a relief thanks
Really digging this but I’m finding the character management to be a little overwhelming at times. I much prefered the focus on a single character in HW...unless I am remembering HW incorrectly.

I just focus on 4, sword , Lance , axe and Archer. I like the triangle system but main story is kinda short I cleared it over the weekends.
Yes, not a huge fan of the constant switching and sometimes I wish my allies would move on their own without commands. So I usually just end up assigning guard to them for now. Because your characters move quick enough to fly across the battlefield
I'm loving this game. Not a huge Fire Emblem fan and I only recognize a few of the characters, but the gameplay is some of the best I've played in a warriors game. Really fluid and satisfying. Finished the story earlier today and just started digging into the history mode. If anyone is on the fence because of unfamiliarity with Fire Emblem (something I was worried about at first) I would totally recommend it if you have any love for musou games.

I easily agree with this
I am not a fire emblem fan at all, not my type of game. But the characters and setting being thrown into a warriors style game is a fantastic way to get into the series
By NoMoreTrolls Go To PostSounds great, I'll have to pick this up.
Yes, its by far the best warriors game next to Hyrule warriors. It can get a little info flooded playing and stuff.....but its the most fluid warriors game by far.
By vic Go To PostWhy it has to be released so close to SMO?! Argh, not enough playing time in the day.I don’t quite understand it either. Can’t ever think of a time Nintendo released to high profile games on the same system a week apart
Especially when they don’t have any first party switch stuff slated for November. Feel like they should have just moved it there?
Only reason I think they kept it clear is they want the Bethesda games coming to sell well and have more space I suppose. Still uncharacteristic of them

especially when the japanese release came a month earlier afair. They honestly could have easily translated this faster and had this out earlier this month. Beginning of october would have been a great time for this game and sales....but a week before mario probably murdered a good chunk of it. Even if you didn't play or know of fire emblem.....people are grabbing switch games like wild fire atm just to build that library.
How would this game be if i’m a fan of Fire a Emblem but I haven’t really played a mosou (sp?) game before. I think I’ve only ever rented a Samurai Warriors game on the PS2 but I can’t remember it at all
I’m super interested but really unsure about how I’ll like a Musuo game. The last one I played wasn’t on like the PS2 or something like that? It was a long as time ago and I recall having fun with it but not being super impressed. Kinda just want to wait for a sale 🤔

There are fire emblem elements like sword loses to spear and wins axes. In that aspect if both are the same level it's gonna be very hard for your hero to beat the other general. Other elements are like support which allows you to pair up your heroes to make the game easier. FE heroes kinda makes you micro control 4 heroes so you could for example send chrome out to secure the castle as you are storming another. As long as the castle you are sending chrome to is not guarded by a spear general chrome should be ok. Small little things like this gives this game a fresh take on the warriors series which I generally have been a fan of. It makes sense in my mind that a general should be able to fight hundreds of normal troops lol.
Enjoying this game more than Hyrule warriors. I haven't been too into the fe series, but I've always wanted to. Got both awakening and fates waiting for me whenever I have free time. This game actually makes me want to go out and play them now

I like the sound of that!

Is the New 3DS version pretty descend and playable by chance? i was thinking to picking this with my New 3DS in the upcoming holiday, Also very looking to see a OT of Fire emblem general!
Took me a bit to get into it. I thought some of the tutorials were hard to understand. Like, literally couldn't see the symbols/arrows they were using. The interface is a little more confusing than I'm used to in a Fire Emblem game. My major disappointment is that my man Ike isn't in the game and it looks like he won't be in the DLC. I get the last 3 Fire Emblem games on the 3DS were the most popular ones, but Ike has been in 2 Smash games!
That said, I'm enjoying my time in it so far. I think I like it better than Hyrule Warriors at this early point, but I'm not too far into it yet.

Just finished the Nohr/Hoshido split thing. Ugh did not like Fates at all. Really hope the next FE game is closer to the Ike stuff, loved how he wasn't a noble/Lord or anything.

Ike is most likely saved for a sequel and that’s because he is a top 3 popular character.
Roy, Marth and Ike are insane in popularity
Is this one a graphical downgrade from HW...it feels a little rough at points. The pop-in is pretty noticeable all the time and the lack of shadows indoors is kinda disappointing.
I still need to pick this up. I loved Hyrule Warriors, but I wasn't sure if I should get this because I haven't played a Fire Emblem game before(my knowledge of FE all comes from Tokyo Mirage Sessions). It's good to see people saying you don't need to be a series fan to enjoy it.
After the roster decisions and general PR did everything possible to turn me off from this game, I'm enjoying it. It's definitely a step up from Hyrule Warriors in some regards (although a step down in others) and the Fire Emblem elements - the support system, the weapon triangle, the tactics - are all implemented well. The story though...I mean I knew it was going to be bad but...yeeeeesh

It’s been a while since I played HW but I thought this looked great on docked mode, 1080p clean image quality and I haven’t been noticing any frame rate issues even in the default quality mode.

Maybe I’m thinking HW looked better than it actually did.
I bought the game after all. Two hours in, it's my first Musou game and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Slashing a mob of soldiers feel awesome.
