The New Order was great imo (Old Blood not so much). Some of the issues I had with both releases were tech-related, so I am glad this is looking much better on that front.
Also, the tease at the end of the launch trailer.... FUCK YES!
Also, the tease at the end of the launch trailer.... FUCK YES!
The Old Blood was cool, but it was a step back in most areas. It was nice to play more MachineGames Wolfenstein, but most everything I liked about The New Order was pared back or changed in order to make a different kind of experience. And though combat wasn't necessarily worse, they did lean more heavily on very blatant challenge arenas which hurt it IMO. Went from feeling like a well paced early 2000s narrative focused campaign to a modern take on combat bowl campaigns. Plus the zombies did nothing for me, and opening the DLC with that stealth section was not a good move.

PC ADVANCED SETTINGS AND FEATURES
Uncapped Framerate
We at MachineGames are huge PC players, and all of id Software’s games have very strong PC DNA. So it’s important for us to make sure the PC version of the game is as solid as any console version. That’s why we built the game on idTech 6, which also allows for uncapped framerate – one of the features we’re most excited about.
Aspect Ratios
With such a wide range of tastes in aspect ratios among PC gamers, it was important for us to ensure compatibility with as many as possible. Here are a few of the big ones, but it’s by no means all of them.

Vulkan
When we started development of Wolfenstein II, the choice of graphics API for PC was a simple one. DOOM had already set the stage for what could be done with Vulkan and we wanted to take it to the next level.
Using Vulkan when developing has allowed us to utilize the power of AMD's VEGA graphics chips in ways that were not possible before, giving us fine grained control over the performance and feature set of the GPU without having to sacrifice artistic intent. Combined with the flexibility of AMD's hardware, Vulkan gives us the artistic freedom to deliver Wolfenstein without compromise.
Controls
Full keyboard and mouse rebinding options
Separate controller and mouse/keyboard sensitivity settings
Anti-Aliasing Options
We have a range of anti-aliasing options including, but not limited to:
TAA
FXAA
SMAA
TSSAA
Colorblind Modes In a first-person shooter where every objective marker and crosshair placement is crucial, colorblind modes are helpful for many gamers. Here are the three modes we included:
Protanopia
Deuteranopia
Tritanopia

Excited for this one. I played through TNO this year and enjoyed it a lot. I'll probably pick this up on Black Friday if there is a decent sale for it.
By Arkanius Go To PostAbove and beyond. Colorblind modes as well?
It should be a good port. Colourblind options are in the code I believe
By Laboured Go To PostHorse, did you preorder it when it was £25 last week on cdkeys?
Probably bit off more than I can chew by pre-ordering this along with Mario Odyssey, but I couldn't resist.
By Bond Go To PostWolfenstein II: The New Colossus – PC Specs and FeaturesYes, PC specs and insight is cool and all, but I wanna hear those Xbox One X and PS4 Pro upgrades!

No I was abroad.

I liked TNO, but got bored of The Old Blood and haven't finished it yet. RtCW is still my favourite.
TNC is looking good, though, excited for it.

So hyped and totally sold by that marketing campaign--I preordered last week.
But now I see the system requirements, and I don't think my GPU is up to snuff. I got a GTX 960.
So I cancel, right?

By THErest Go To PostSo hyped and totally sold by that marketing campaign–I preordered last week.Well, if the specs are right I believe the GTX 960 might not make the cut. But you can always check by yourself, playing about an hour of it, and refund it if it does prove to be too heavy.

I'm also not sure I will be able to have a hassle free experience with my GTX 970. Maybe I'll just buy it for the PS4 to avoid any headaches.

Some benchmarks I saw made it seem more encouraging. Even the min specs aren't true minimum, I guess. I'll try it out and then go for that refund. Just have to figure out now how the refund would work if I bought on Amazon and activated on Steam...
Hopefully I can just play.
GPU prices have skyrocketed again since I last upgraded. I don't get it. Is it due to mining again?

Between this and Odyssey, I'll be tearing myself away from each to play the other. Not to mention I'll have Stranger Things S.2 to watch also. #dayofdreams

You cant refund if you buy from any where but steam. Amazon cant revoke the key, only steam can and they wont do it if you bought from 3rd party retailer.
Your 960 is almost identical to a 770 but slightly better cause its a later model GPU. If you can cancel the pre-order now it might be safer for you to do it now if you're unsure of your rig.
Does your GPU have at least 4gb VRAM?
By KRaZyAmmo Go To PostI might double dip and get it on PS4 too. (Got it preordered on cdkeys for $33)
Damn, I missed it. It jumped to $37 now...but I did see it for $33 just yesterday.

Is The Old Blood worth playing through? Replayed TNO, and was thinking of starting TOB and finishing it before release, but want to know if it’s anywhere as good as TNO

More extended gameplay, less story. Some nice set pieces and literal zombie hell but thankfully it dosent last long enough to sour the whole thing. Quite a bit of Stealth also iirc.
Its good, well worth the playthrough.

Nope, 2gb. Cancelling now. Thanks.
edit: I am disappointed.
TNO was honestly one of the best surprises I've had in a long, long time with games. I remember buying it on PS4 at release after seeing all the reviews and being shocked by how good and fun it was, lol. Really excited to play TNC, but I'll probably have to wait cos I'll be sinking my teeth in Odyssey :D
By Bond Go To PostWolfenstein II: The New Colossus – PC Specs and FeaturesOof, my GTX 780 6GB is definitely showing its age here, only just above minimum spec. I hope the game is well optimised, but I might be upgrading my graphics card sooner rather than later by the looks of it.
By Juicy Go To Postwill the ps4 pro support HDR at launch?
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will run at 4K with HDR on Xbox One X, pretty sure PS4 support is going to happen.

I keep going back and forth on getting this but I think I am just going to wait. Mario Odyssey and Call of Duty WWII coming the following week is just too much. This will be the first Call of Duty game I buy day 1 since Black Ops 2
It looks really damn good but I bet there will be a Black Friday deal I can snag it on.

pre-ordered the deluxe (for the action figure) edition on PC, but seeing those specs now I fear I've made a mistake... Tho my PC can chew through TNO and DOOM at high settings I may be ok.
Preordered the PS4 from the UK. They're butchering the german version once again...you're not fighting nazis, you'll fight the "regime" and every bit of symbolic is changed.
