Them bringing it over point blank doesn't give me a lot of hope for the moderation changing in the way it needs to.
It comes off like a group of desperate people trying to re-ignite the magic they have for Neogaf without recognizing what actually made it the way it was(or why the site was not as great as they imagined in its twilight).

In fact, if you want to build a better GAF, you would be wise to think long and hard about adapting the same moderation strategy and carrying over the ban-list resulting from that strategy.

Been a member of GAF for ~10 years, checking it a few times daily to get a high-level overview of current events, news, etc, and also dropping into a few specific topics for things I'm a fan of. Sounds like a lot of you used it in a similar manner.
I have so many questions.
1) Is this a CDN that GAF actually used, or did some kind soul keep a backup of GAF? Because I'm finding posts going back like 10ish years on there, which is super impressive.
2) Is this going to be up indefinitely, or is it a race against time?
3) Does logging in work? I'm too scared to put in my credentials in case of a honeypot (if GAF ever comes back up, I do want my old account back), and I can't use search or see my post history without being logged in
I'm hoping to write a script of some sort to backup my own posts, if possible. GAF is probably the closest thing to a journal or time capsule that I have for myself (I don't really use social media). Even though I never wrote anything too personal, I've scanned through my post history occasionally throughout the years and been surprised at how revealing it can be.

Let's be real, most of the new sign ups are just passing through until GAF 2.0 opens up. Hell, I knew about this place years ago and only just activated my account (and feel super scummy about it tbh, this is a good place and I should've made an account back then)
