Nazism at it's core is a belief that white race is superior and other races must be removed. I see no middle ground to that ideology.
It's not about reaching some "middle ground" or approaching from "Both Sides". It's about sharpening your rhetoric so you can aid in exposing the villainous nature of the ideals to those that actually approach the issue with some sort of genuine ambiguity and not generating propaganda for the opposition. You can't do that in an echo chamber or by silencing them. Not knowing HOW people that support them think, WHY they think, and WHERE they exist; IS HOW WE GOT TRUMP.

Somewhere, there's a young, white, teenage male wondering what the deal is with all this "White Supremacy" shit and thinking it doesn't seem so bad - It's just white people wanting to take pride in their own skin color just like Blacks do. And then he sees some Nazi chilling on a bus, minding his own business, getting clocked on Youtube by some dude and liberal clades on the internet start cheering. All of a sudden, White Supremacy and its real implications get lost in the emotional trauma of some kid that sees "one of his own" get his ass kicked over nothing. Now it's not the tiki-torch carrying, vehicular man-slaughtering Nazi clique that's violent, it's the "Nazi-Punching Left" that's violent.
It's not about trying to "change a Nazi's mind" it's more about not aiding them in recruiting more into their fold.

It's so bizarre, though not unexpected, that so many salty ass dudes online are acting like GAF imploded due to an overload of hypocrisy.
That's not what happened.
The owner was found out to be a creep. The community reacted as expected and thoroughly rejected him. Mods felt the same and resigned. Lawlessness set in and the site went to shit.
Yes, there had been accusations of sexual misconduct before, and some with proof, and a lot of people knew about that, but ultimately it's what led to GAF collapsing. If Evilore did not have any prior history of being a creep, I have no doubt we'd all still be posting there as usual trying to get some answers, with, I am sure, a good portion of GAF extending Evilore the benefit of doubt.
But that's not what happened because GAF had enough of his shit, and here we are.

Yeah, I do think there is a difference between being like say...an "anti-SJW" versus being a full blown Nazi, and for more than being anti-Semitic. Nazis justify having legitimately, real life full blown violent resistance towards them. I don't think that's true for say, a Pewdiepie type, which is more of what I think Fantano was.

yeah, again i get that this distinction is more important for others, and i don't mean to knock that here. from an anti fascist standpoint though: the latter group ("anti-SJW", anti diversity, PC, whatever label they got going) was mocked/largely left unchallenged and then overlapped with other garbage joke groups like MRA's and while people were focusing on other shit, the alt-right came about and played a factor in electing a fascist.
digital fuckery (outside of harassment) clearly doesn't feel like the same level as people openly brandishing swastikas/etc so the response isn't gonna be the same, but it still needs to be stomped out & denied a platform at every possible juncture.
