Hi! Just wanted to say thanks to everyone around here, was on GAF for almost a decade (mostly lurked but posted periodically and played with some of the MMO guilds) so losing the forum was jarring. This place really helped fill the void and I'll be sticking around. Also, this is the nicest, classiest looking forum I've ever seen <3 Especially on mobile.
I'll def stick around here, but really, thanks to all the mods and staff for being so chill about the situation and being a refuge for many after shit hit the fan as well as helping many people find their ways over there.

Not that I'm 100 percent concerned cos it means I get in easy but I hope them going open reg doesn't bite them in the ass, tonnes of sleeper accounts are going to get made.
Another transfuge of GAF here. I was swamped with work all week but was pretty horrified by the whole situation. This forum seems really nice and chill - and as a lot of problems in GAF stemmed from its size imo, I might just make this my new main digital home. Still, out of nostalgia, registered in resetera (still waiting for confirmation email - my first attempt at a GAF account seemed to never have been approved - same might happen there i guess). Will see how the new mods hold the ship.

Got in with a free mail address, I know it might be stupid of them considering trolls and what not, but I probably couldn't have registered there if not (no paid e-mail anymore and not hip enough to use discord). We'll see how it goes, I was an OTer so SLAENT is great for me.

Read the Resetera FAQ, there doesn't appear to be a ban on listing/ranking threads, so I expect to see those quite often and the - Read beyond the headline - heading, well, I can only wonder how few will adhere to that advice, haha!
