I actually think not talking about GAF/Evilore is a smart move. It completely shuts down the idea that people on ResetERA are just a bunch of GAF rejects shitting on GAF, which helps differentiate it from Voat, Bore, etc. etc.

I want to thank slaent for hosting us. It kind of shook me up to come here and immediately recognize more people here than I recognized at gaf anymore. EL wasnt gaf he was the caretaker of gaf. And after reading this forum for a few days I can see how badly he failed at that.
There is some real history attached to that forum. There was a poster there, I said I would remember his name and I didnt, but he spent some good amount of time speaking with and saying goodbye to people on gaf during his last day alive. He was dying of cancer and he knew it was his last day. And gaf and the people he posted with there were important enough to him that he spent some part of the most valuable 24 hours of his life dictating his thoughts to his gf to post to people on gaf. Man his last post tore me up.

By Prince of Space Go To PostGAF might've still been salvageable a day or two ago but not anymore, I think. Far too many influential posters and mods have migrated away, leaving only Evilore w/ hordes of GGers and his many new mod accounts.
Possibly, we'll see if reset era becomes the goto place now. The problem is with reddit and social media, a discussion board gaining prominence at the level gaf was is going to be tough. But maybe it doesn't need to.
I'll be signing up for the site once everything settles down.
Just chiming in to say I love this place. Even though I had a GAF account I was basically lurking the past few years (life changes!), I think SL&ENT looks veeeeery sleek and handy.
