I can't say it doesn't hurt a little to be told we're purely a transit lounge when our mod team have been putting in some extremely long days with little sleep to stay on top of things. But hiding things and sweeping stuff under the rug tends to blow up in the long run, and isn't who we are.

I haven’t commented on this whole ordeal. And here is my take on it now that we have both sides of the story. This whole ordeal shows how much of an egomaniac Evilore is. Instead of giving a sincere response to the community about the accusations. He straight up went into slander mode on her. And two, ten fucking years for a response? That was a combination of sending the big political threads to community, demanding new threads for new news and then getting a batshit insane president who could generate 20 stories before lunch.

I never heard of this forum before this weekend. Found it when looking at Twitter for neogaf news, but yeah, this site has been very accommodating and it hasn't gone unnoticed from me at least. I also love the layout, a few things are missing that would be convenient but I'm sure they're coming.
I plan to stick around, not really interested in Resetera and GAF is a definite no. Plus I barely even play games outside of diablo or Gwent and would rather talk football and the sports stuff here looks good.
The relaxed vibe here just feels right.

OK I'm all caught up on this thread now and need to sleep. Want to give the mods here a huge thanks for the wonderful site, the hospitality (that goes for the regular users too), and the work they've been putting in due to the influx of members. I can tell there is a lot of love here.
The only other site I post on is tough to frequent anymore because a lot of the posters' attitudes are... troubling, to say the least. Looks like a lot of GAFfers I respected in my years of lurking are posting up here so I'd love to make this my home as well. Will continue lurking here for a while to get a feel for the etiquette and find my place, and once things settle down I'll do my best to contribute.

Users that have absolutely no stake in the site, other than enjoying the communities that were already here. Not mods, not founders. Just regulars.
If the visitors didn't notice, we did, and genuinely appreciate it. (We also think that speaks volumes about the site, but we're biased).
I wasn't trying to have a pop at anyone really and I understand that keeping the communities together is more important than the masthead at the top of the page.
If people want to move on to resetera because that's where their peeps go, that's totally cool. But just don't be so blatant about that shit!
