Problem was the community was what people go for, and its a longlasting one. People knew lore was a bitch, but got banned for saying it. I got a 12 yr account permad for calling modbot a bad word. Plus i never even heard of this place before today when everyone freaked out and started posting alternatives.

Yeah, he did but you have to consider that most people visiting GAF never realized it because either they weren't around then or didn't hear of it because it was suppressed/not talked about openly on a scale enough to gain traction. I myself had no clue about Evilore until today.

Very high, I'm not a lawyer and I'm not from the US, but I feel he's in deep shit.

1 - The "shower girl" (sorry, but it's for everyone understanding) is probably not the only one to confess something like that, as far as we know, it's the only one to speak of it on Facebook, but there may be more of them. People like Tyler Malka or Weistein always have many victims, not just a random one.
2 - The "shower girl" have witnesses (her boyfriend + other people that know about it). He can't just deny outright, unless he's sure she won't go to court, hence why the time it takes to have an answer from him : he's probably negociating with the victim and proposing her money to solve the case.
3 - He has a bad records and worse than that, he was SOMEWHAT involved in the "pedo mod that wasn't a mod when the case was disclosed" since I'm he's been interrogated by the police.

I've never been a gaf member, but I've been a lurker for some times. It was the best and the worst place online. Best because the serious discussion about gaming, but bad because... well :

- Shill everywhere, it was obvious. I worked at a big tech/gaming company - I won't name - for years in Japan, we had a special marketing department devoted to Neogaf shilling.
- Hypocrites everywhere : A girl get harassed by a Naughty Dog employers, it's a piece of shit (which he is, of course), the same happen with Tyler Malka and it's all about waiting for proves.
- You couldn't browse Off-topic without stubling upon horrible thread about suicide, death, sickness and other things you don't want to see or discuss about when you're in your bed.
- 90% of the members being very defensive about what they like, even being ridiculously agressive about critisims regarding said things, especially around release when critisim were not tolerated.

I joined GAF in 2006 and didn't know a single thing about EvilLore until just now. From the screenshots I have seen today it seemed like there were only a few threads that mentioned the nudes thing and the ass grabbing thing and he was pretty quick to take down any further mention of them. Pretty easy to miss.

I did see the thread for Amirox when that popped up and I'm guessing a lot of people wouldn't have known about that if there wasn't an "official response."

A lot of the time people on GAF would barely leave one or two threads for long periods of time. I know in my case, there was a good couple months where 99% of my posts were in only two threads.

I only heard about the Amir0x stuff because it got mentioned in PoliGAF. I probably wouldn't have noticed the thread on it. I only found out about the Evilore stuff today.

not everyone is involved in the site as others. and plus those situations were pretty compartmentalized in the past. this is the first time -ever- that the front page of gaming and ot has ever been swamped with stuff to the point where its unavoidable and uncontrollable due to a mod exodus
