Reset = Neo, in that it's a prefix intended to contrast a previous iteration
ERA = Age, random temporal word which has more continuity with "Gaming-Age," but is captalized and theoretically being considered to be used similarly to "GAF" for communities (NBA-ERA, for example)
They should have just come up with an original name. Reset is too on the nose, and "ERA" is too similar to "Age," which was a virtually hidden part of the old name it's going out of its way to throw back to.
It's an all around terrible name, you can even say it out loud.
If I am going to make a reference to GAF I would call it |OT2|.com

Hi friends, for full transparency we are looking to hopefully see this thread die down by the end of the week.
Why? Well, that has been our stance with regards to these kind of threads since founded this site.
While this has been by far the largest and most welcomed transition to this site from GAF, it is indeed not the first. We have experienced this a few times before and each and every time we have welcomed whoever wants to come and go as they please. That still holds true to this day.
However, after a while we’d like to see this megathread discussion about what happened when where and how die down. There’s a lot of things for people to get off their chest, especially under these circumstances. We’ve always given people the space to air it out and let opinions fly. Sometimes people overstep a line and we have to remind them to chill a bit. That has happened here and that’s okay. We dealt with it and we’ll deal with if it happens again.
With that being said, you’re free to keep the discussion going but by the end of the week we will probably let this thread go, and if you’ll have us as your new home after that we will be more than honored.
Carry on but with respect to each other.

So yes, it's definitely something they have in mind. They don't want to just clone it exactly as it was.
