The new name is an awkward mish-mash of references to the old one.
Reset = Neo, in that it's a prefix intended to contrast a previous iteration
ERA = Age, random temporal word which has more continuity with "Gaming-Age," but is captalized and theoretically being considered to be used similarly to "GAF" for communities (NBA-ERA, for example)
They should have just come up with an original name. Reset is too on the nose, and "ERA" is too similar to "Age," which was a virtually hidden part of the old name it's going out of its way to throw back to.

From what I could gather, bacalhau in Portuguese refers to the fish (cod) in general, while bacalao in Norwegian refers to a specific dish. Bacalao isn't bad really, but it has to be made properly.
