Reading that Stotts might get the boot and the Magic want him... also not only do the Suns want to look at Kidd and Vinny but the really are eying Kevin McHale
Stotts getting the boot would be such an Olshey thing to do to cover up for his terrible roster mistakes. When several teams are waiting to swoop your coach up, maybe reconsider if he's the issue?
By Smokey Go To PostBosh still eating their cap, right?
Yikes
By blackace Go To PostPaul wanted to fire him last year… lolI don't think so? At least I never came across anything like that. I honestly think he's getting gold out of this roster... that swingman/forward position has been a mess since LaMarcus left, and I quite like Aminu but he's like a backup at best. They really can't compete with the Durants/ADs/PGs/Butlers of the NBA.
By blackace Go To PostBosh still eating their cap, right?
nah
Both the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and the Miami Herald reported that the sides were in talks Tuesday. It's a process that has played out since last fall, when Heat team doctors declined to clear Bosh to take part in training camp following blood test results.
Bosh is guaranteed $52 million over the next two seasons, though a significant portion of that is covered by insurance. But he has remained on the Heat's salary cap, limiting their ability to replace him. This agreement is expected to remove Bosh from the cap and allow the Heat to move on with their team.

I don't think he is. I think the agreement is that they part, and he gets paid mostly by insurance, and off Miami's books.

The Heat will end up with between $14 million and $37 million in cap room, depending on player options, team options and waivers decisions.

So they released him and freed up that space, right? But he's still on the cap?
Bosh reportedly came to an agreement with the team last month allowing him to play for another team without incurring salary-cap consequences for the Heat. The 11-time all-star, who spent the past six seasons in Miami, is owed more than $52 million over the next two seasons, an amount that largely will be covered by insurance.
Bosh hasn’t played since Feb. 9, 2016, and he failed a physical before this season. The Heat had been in a tricky situation because the language in the league’s collective bargaining agreement was affecting his situation. But that pact won’t take effect until July 1, when free agency begins.
Now Miami can release Bosh, leaving the team with $38 million in cap space, and make a personnel move before or during the NBA draft June 22. The agreement was reportedly struck with the input of the league and its players’ union.

Their org is a mess, mainly because there are about a dozen different factions and people are split up in separate loyalty camps.

that's how they are 20 million over cap... if you minus his salary they aren't over the cap I think

By HasphatsAnts Go To PostEh, agree and disagree. I think it's clear he's got the highest "floor" of all the elite prospects in this draft. It's really hard to be bad on offense with his passing/shooting/versatility and you'd feel pretty good about having him on your team in general.
But if you draft him #1 or 2 and expect him to be a super duper star player on the wing, you absolutely need him to be able to consistently get a bucket when he has to. So the athleticism concern is still valid IMO.
if lonzo went 2 last year then doncic can go 1 this year

The kings org has people loyal to minority owners and old execs still, and people leaking shit left and right.
You can't run a team like that. And if those people still refuse to tow the line ... then they need to be shown the door. No matter how "favourite" they are. Because you need to start cleaning up your whole organisation.
Also, if the Suns hire VDN, Mc Hale or Kidd I could come very close to done. And start a Fire Mc D campaign. Cause that would be the dumbest shit.

But it's more a case of, Casey deserves more credit, than Budd less. He's been great, and his willingness to adapt and change things this year should get him more credit than he does.

I think that's where I'm at with Doncic. Impossible to be a bust. Perennial All-Star tho? Could go either way.
If foresee myself tanking for a few more seasons I'd definitely take a lottery ticket like Ayton or Jackson ahead of him.
