33 year old Bogut going home for the retirement tour.
Bogut had health problems to start the season, then went home for the birth of his kid. So just stayed here.
He wants to go back to the NBA, has said so on multiple interviews over here.
According to Berman* Mike Budenholzer wants the Knicks job bad and the Hawks may be willing to just take cash for him.
*could very well be bullshit.

Next year is gonna be rough for whoever NY hires. Whats the word on why Bud is leaving ATL?

According to a source of Marc Berman of The New York Post, the Knicks are Mike Budenholzer's top choice.
"If they offered him the job, he’d say yes. He wants to live in New York.’’ Budenholzer was in advanced talks with the Suns before turning them down for unknown reasons, so we'll see if the Knicks can close the deal. Coach Bud has two years and $13 million remaining on his deal with the Hawks, so the Knicks may have to offer some compensation to pry him away.

Well, no one is going to offer him a GM/Coach dual role, so that ship's sailed, but I bet he's salty that he's taking orders from a guy who just took his job.
Knicks have KP, which is a good deal better than what we have, so I can see why he'd want that job. Not sure why we have to let him go for free tho. Good coaches don't grow on trees, even if he's unhappy.

By livefromkyoto Go To PostBut New York offers him neither of these things.Lol at the confusion. Maybe masud was right...
By HasphatsAnts Go To PostNew GM wants his own man. Bud lost GM duties and doesn't want to coach a rebuild.Apparently it's not so much the rebuilding as it is the losing on purpose. At the same time Atlanta would rather not pay Bud 6 mil a year when they could pay some dude off the street pennies while they trust the process.
By masud Go To PostApparently it's not so much the rebuilding as it is the losing on purpose. But New York threw every game from January on. Then fired Hornacek the second he got off the plane because he beat Cleveland. And they’re probably going to do it again because KP is going to miss most of the year.
He’s also a system coach who needs to rely on unselfish players, going to a media fishbowl that seems to inflate guys’ heads and make them selfish. And he’ll need to lean on a GM who’s a puppet for a president who has hung onto his job for years by being a stooge to an owner who is the last guy in the world with a clue how to set up Spurs East. Their last big trade was moving the franchise player for Enes Kanter.
As near as I can tell the only things NY offers that another team might not are money and attention. He must be super desperate to get out of ATL.
Hey, maybe I’m wrong, KP is the next KG and coach Bud is going to be the guy to ride him and take NY to the promised land.

The Noah situation soured more than a few players on him (KP, Kyle O'Quinn, Lee), and apparently last two weeks of the season both the players and Hornacek were coasting.

Congrats, giri

That’s not a good look.
Though maybe that doesn’t matter, there are so few coaching openings they’ve got guys lining up anyway.

I'd give bud dual roles for the wyz and send Ernie and Brooks packing but i feel like nobody seems to do well with that dual role shit so idk

And they’re probably going to do it again because KP is going to miss most of the year.Money and attention are pretty huge things man. I don't get why you guys are trying to downplay this shit. The Knicks can be a terribly run franchise with an overbearing owner (I really do appreciate you guys constantly educating me on this, I totally wasn't aware) and still have their head coaching position be coveted solely based on money and location... Which was my point.

peeps see rubio doin work in the playoffs need to realize doncic is the same but 4 inches taller, has a way better jumper, and can guard 3 positions
any concerns about his athleticism should be lowered when joe ingles can be factor in this league

I don't know if many people have concerns that Doncic can't be good, the concerns about the athleticism just make people question if he should be a #1 pick.
Meek Mill is out of jail
Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin has been one of Mill's biggest supporters. He tweeted Tuesday that he was on his way to pick up the rapper from prison. The Sixers host the Miami Heat on Tuesday night in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series.
Kings let go of a lot of off-court employees yesterday, including their long-time PA announcer, Scott Moak. The fans are not happy:

By Red Blaster Go To Postpeeps see rubio doin work in the playoffs need to realize doncic is the same but 4 inches taller, has a way better jumper, and can guard 3 positionsEh, agree and disagree. I think it's clear he's got the highest "floor" of all the elite prospects in this draft. It's really hard to be bad on offense with his passing/shooting/versatility and you'd feel pretty good about having him on your team in general.
any concerns about his athleticism should be lowered when joe ingles can be factor in this league
But if you draft him #1 or 2 and expect him to be a super duper star player on the wing, you absolutely need him to be able to consistently get a bucket when he has to. So the athleticism concern is still valid IMO.
By Moris Go To PostJust noticed that DLo's numbers across the board this season are nearly identical to last year's.This cannot be. I was told that the Nets’ training staff knew how to work out secret muscles that nobody else did.

Witness the POWAH of Brooklyn's coaching staff, witness it!
By Kibner Go To PostHe was playing injured a good bit of his career, I thought?
FTFY
They called me a hater for saying Dlo's health worried me. Dude is stuck in 4th gear, doesn't play defense and isn't playing above the rim but has had knee issues every season.
To be fair to D'lo he looked prime to breakout this season before he messed his knee up, again. He was averaging 21 ppg on good %'s for the first 15 games or so. I hope he is able to get over his knee problems and assert himself in the league. Unfortunately, I'm not sure he can do it as a 1st option.

By Kibner Go To PostKings let go of a lot of off-court employees yesterday, including their long-time PA announcer, Scott Moak. The fans are not happy:From my understanding, the kings needed to let go a lot of people.
Their org is a mess, mainly because there are about a dozen different factions and people are split up in separate loyalty camps.
