I think, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that missing the Eastern Conference playoffs will still technically preserve the streak of not being beat.
Where did The Athletic come from? Feels like most of the NBA Twitter reporters went there overnight.

By alt sy Go To PostAren't.. Newspapers already dead?It depends on the market. The giants of this country are thriving (New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times) and in some instances are propping up other papers own by the same company, papers that service moderately-sized areas are doing okay because they started seriously shrinking newsrooms a couple years ago and using wire services for more content, but small town newspapers are being left for dead, which is a real problem since it means people are relying more on biased television sources (like Sinclair) for their news.
When I got out of journalism school several years ago, it was already pretty bleak. There's not many entry level jobs left, they start at like $20K-$25k and they're insanely competitive. You could have the resume, the internships, years at your school paper and still get passed over. I experienced that in a bad way and ultimately just ejected on the whole thing.

They started up last season with a few major cities, they took the two longest beat writers for the Warriors straight away. I'll probably give them a go this season since the 30% off the yearly sub is US$40 or so.
Don't forget one of the biggest factors of small town newspapers going under: the cost of printing paper keeps going up and up.

I am understanding that to mean that a hole was cut in Smith’s chest and then a little camera was snaked into his abdomen so doctors could have a look around. Apparently something called a “chest tube” is required for a couple days after the procedure, which frankly sounds like something out of a nightmare. This is the second awful health update for Smith since he was drafted—back in early August it was reported that Smith fractured his foot at a Las Vegas developmental camp, and no timetable was set for his return following successful surgery on August 9. Now he’s got a tube sticking out of his chest, so this rookie campaign is just going swimmingly. In fact, this entire 76ers offseason belongs in the garbage.

By Kibner Go To PostDon't forget one of the biggest factors of small town newspapers going under: the cost of printing paper keeps going up and up.They were also totally unequipped to deal with the rise of the internet. They didn't know how to monetize their content when it first started so they gave it away for free and later tried to sell ads. Digital ads don't pay as much as print and users started blocking ads through third-party browser extensions, so they tried to pivot to locking content behind paywalls, only to find that the majority of their readership didn't want to pay and just stopped visiting instead.

I was always on #teamSteph breh. Monta was fun to watch but very fundamentally flawed
Not including LeVert is the new Fields or Gallo, not both

I mean, how could the Nets trade The Caris LeVert? He might be an average NBA player someday. Gotta lock that down.
By DY_nasty Go To PostObviously thibs didn't want anyone else competing for Rose's minutes at SGHe can't rest until Derrick Rose can't walk anymore.
The cipher must be completed
Send Jimmy to Miami
Tyler Johnson must assume Hinrich's role as the blood sacrifice

Sixers v Melbourne will be a better game
By Doncicic Go To PostI wouldn't trade much for Butler either.
RHJ + Dinwiddie or Lavert, but not both.
How are we at this point? Still, I'm content to wait until the offseason and no go throwing away picks/youth again. We rebuilt the right way slowly, painfully, I can wait one more season to cash in.
