I ain't even bugged by G-TYME. I don't think that was a shot at Snyder anyway. Sounded like just a general comment, especially since he was talking about his time with him in college, not this past or upcoming season.
Kanter was way worse. The organization and fans were cool to him and he just decided to be a dick anyway.

Kanter was just salty and he's really immature (about that trivial stuff) so its fine.
Guys like Trevor Booker will forever be loved here though

Millsap and Matthews still get good reactions from the crowd. There have been very few ugly departures. I can think of Kanter, Amaechi, Arroyo, and that's about it right now. Anybody I'm not remembering?
By blackace Go To PostJazz fans stay salty about Fisher lolLol for real
and Hayward didn't thank the owner? That's really a concern?
By blackace Go To PostJazz fans stay salty about Fisher lolAt this point aren't Laker fans the only ones that think he has any credibility?
By blackace Go To PostJazz fans stay salty about Fisher lolNot calling the organization to inform them you are leaving is .. not the norm.

It's not a big deal, but like i said.. we don't have much bad things or drama.

looks about right
By blackace Go To Postlooks about rightRoll Mark Cuban into that list.

I'm sure Mav fans really love Derek Fisher.
By diehard Go To PostNot calling the organization to inform them you are leaving is .. not the norm.they should had maxed him when they had the chance...

besides he did all the usual thanking the fans and all that... don't really understand how a free agent not personally informing the Jazz would bother a fan.
By blackace Go To Postthey should had maxed him when they had the chance…
I have to think they expected him to go. I don't blame him. Chance to play with is college coach and on a team that has a huge upside. Bigger market. It's hard to expect these guys to sacrifice bigger money, better endorsements, and all that just to stay loyal. I wish he would have stayed, but I didn't think we had much of a chance to keep him.
By diehard Go To PostI'm sure Mav fans really love Derek Fisher.Mavs fans don't really care about Fisher... Cuban tho he still salty.
By blackace Go To Postthey should had maxed him when they had the chance…He's literally the only free agent to turn down a max deal (or the largest offer, pre-maximum contracts) with the Jazz .. in my lifetime? Any extra reason to be bothered by Jazz fans will be found.

By blackace Go To PostNaw they could had maxed him the year he signed with the Hornets if I am not mistaken…The max would have been 4 years, they matched his 3+1 maximum offer which, most people laughed at. All it would have done is have him left this year and we would have been in a worse situation (Mitchell wouldn't have gotten all that experience).

ffs lol

By blackace Go To Postthey asked for a 5/80… and set him up for a super max…They could have signed him for a 5 year max instead of a 4 year max.. I don't get your point here.
By diehard Go To PostThey could have signed him for a 5 year instead of a 4 year.. I don't get your point here.and you think Boston is waiting on him? Plus they really tried to lowball him and dudes tend to remember that... his 4 year deal was really the Hornets contract. That's why he didn't call when he left...
By blackace Go To Postand you think Boston is waiting on him? Plus they really tried to lowball him and dudes tend to remember that… his 4 year deal was really the Hornets contract. That's why he didn't call when he left…They didn't try to "lowball him" they told his agent to see what his market value was, and then matched a contract that goddamn everyone thought was a joke of an overpay. Then told him the franchise was his. Then got rid of the coach he didn't like. Then recruited him to stay, from the franchise to fans, harder than anyone in franchise history.
But nah, "fuck them they only gave me 4 year max deal not 5 after putting up 16 PPG on 41% shooting and winning 25 games" right?
He didn't call because he had a great relationship with the owner and didn't want the awkwardness, that's it.. It's not even that complex.

Ok...

But really, you can't see that letting a young dude find out that multiple teams would max him in a heartbeat is lowballing him?
By blackace Go To Postrofl just a few moments ago he didn't appreciate the Jazz enough and now he is a shy guy who wanted to spare the owner his feelings? Ok…I don't see how those two things have to be incongruent.. but it wouldn't be able her feelings, it would be about his. He admitted how he didn't want to call Snyder because it would be hard.
By blackace Go To PostBut really, you can't see that letting a young dude find out that multiple teams would max him in a heartbeat is lowballing him?I believe at the time the Hornets were actually the only team that was willing to offer the max. Low-balling someone would imply you are trying to pay them less than they are worth, and not encouraging them to let the market determine their value, which is what their intentions (at least through the media) had been all that summer. This is often expressed as low-balling and it never made sense to me.
By rodeoclown Go To PostDerrick Rose is practicing as the team's starting shooting guard and I can't keep going with this. Thibs has no idea who can play basketball and who can't.It's 2012. Thibs just wants to run it back.
Cavs were trying to max him as well...
if the Jazz felt he was worth a max they should had just offered instead of let the market decide his worth... basically they were betting not many teams had max cap space and lost, not please find out your worth so we can pay it lol

By blackace Go To PostCavs were trying to max him as well…Cavs brought him in but i don't think they actually offered the max. I don't think the Jazz felt he was worth the max, I sure as hell didn't. In spite of all this posting about, I'm over it.. i swear! I'd be salty as shit if we didn't have Mitchell though.

Kevin Durant on why he isn't in consideration for DPOY: "It's just pure hate for me obviously and no appreciation for my real skill for the game."
yo this dude..
It's pretty obvious, it's because he's not the best overall defender on his team. Maybe not even second or third best. He does some things very well on defense, some of them even elite but he's too inconsistent and doesn't always give 100% effort on that side of the ball.

I just don't understand the logic that the Jazz didn't he was worth the max and that's somehow not lowballing despite other teams thinking he was...
It's ok the Jazz messed they bet on Alec and lost ... you still got a good team, coach and scouts
By diehard Go To Postyo this dude..
The Donald Trump of the NBA.
By alt sy Go To PostSo, Chris Sheridan is actually RodeoYou take that back. But I also don't think Thibs cares about whether Butler walks away for nothing or not because he's not surviving the season regardless, so there's no impetus for him to act, even as Glen Taylor keeps pressing for a deal.
Any functional organization would've fired Thibodeau and not even put him in this position, where the GM and coach are the same guy and put in this quandary over what to do and what's best for the franchise. Because the future of the franchise is immaterial to him. He doesn't think that way, he doesn't manage the cap and roster that way, and he gets paid anyway when Glen tells him to hit the bricks. He just wants to make the playoffs in what's going to be his last shot at coaching.
By blackace Go To PostThibs will be in Orlando in 2 years… he gives no fucksclifford would never
By DY_nasty Go To Postclifford would neverlast more than 2 years
By DY_nasty Go To Postseveral!he is already dead
By blackace Go To PostThibs will be in Orlando in 2 years… he gives no fucksI'd be pretty surprised if he gets another head coaching gig after this. He's totally stuck in the past and inflexible about running his systems. Except his systems don't work anymore. Everybody knows how to break an ice-based defense and his offense is largely designed to get guys mid-range jump shots. Everything he coaches is archaic.
